There are a billion differences between REAL shooting guns and getting shot at to playing a game (violent or not) on your couch or chair. Soldiers use video games to display tactics (real world situations) and simulate a combat situation. They still do real world drills with live ammunition all the time and feel the reality of it. its used as a small part in training. Also a lot of the tech is digital and they need to learn how to use that kind of thing . it has nothing to do with real life violence.
