Depending on the costs involved, change a part, versus an integrated part, means you're probably replacing a part that is still good, along with the bad part. So in the case of a transmission cooler, you have to also deal with removing and recharging the ac system to fix or replace the transmission cooler. I don't know enough about the costs, but I'm guessing the cost to replace a combined unit, versus a single part is close in parts cost, but is it more because of additional labor?

When you show the underside of the engine, I noticed cracks in the belt. Would you normally recommend replacing it?

I've had the flicker in my 2001 since I bought it. I'm a second owner. I've heard that it was a common issue and as long as my oil was good I disregarded it. My grandson is using the car now. Recently I replaced the valve cover gaskets and oil pan gasket, as well as brakes suspension and steering. Doing the work Myself I didn't mind spending the money for parts, knowing they are all new now and at a fraction of just a few new car payments. My grandson gets crazy about the light flickering and thinks it's gonna burn up. I told him that we shouldn't be leaking oil now and as long as he checks and it's good, don't worry. I can't wait to try this fix and get rid of the issue and my grandson worrying about it.

Chasing a 2006 Kia Sportage v6 water pump issue. Heater stopped working yesterday, but vacuum tubing for heater actuators are leaking vaccum. Bypassed them to actuate and still no heat. Suspect pump is bad, but beside a PT cruiser water pump, they suck to replace. I have a half done PT sitting in my garage now. Just got plugs replaced and some other vacuum leaks done on the Kia, ordered all new brakes for the Kia, shipped today and then the Kia overheated on the highway and we limped home. Typically $800 to over $1000 to replace the Kia water pump and like the PT, night as well do the timing belt. CARS SUCK!!!! Thanks for your video though.

This video sounds like there is a Nextel phone around. They were notorious for interfering in audio signals as they talked back and forth at the station.
