This was a great video and really explained the way the compressor clutch works. My PT Cruiser gets really cold when it works, but then the clutch stops grabbing, despite it being turned on. Both my low and high pressure switches are working and I have bypassed them too. The compressor starts turning, but then seems to lock up and scream, like the clutch is slipping or the compressor is locked up and the serpentine belt is slipping and making the noise. It only happens shortly after starting, for about 30 seconds, but the clutch is disengaged and not turning the compressor. I will probably change the compressor, but now I also have the option of trying to repair the compressor. I'll see what to do after I get down inside. Thanks for the explanation.
