Grew up and lived in Hawaii until retirement and now in Newport News. My daughter came with her military husband. I never heard of it. Realized that it's the middle of America's history. I don't do many festivals, mostly home gardening and tending to animals. It's a great spot. Not too high or too low for the weather. I like the weather, although summers are hot and humid. Love the fall and spring weather.

Good to see you. I've watched many of your videos and always thought it would be cool to hang out and talk with you. I grew up in Hawaii until I retired and moved to Oregon and finally Virginia. I've always wished I could travel to different states and towns. Even now I think moving town to town for about a month at a time would be interesting.

Which state has the best weather? Hawaii and California are out, so which one has the most mild winter and summer? Or which town falls into that area?

Born in California, but grew up and lived in Maui, in Hawaii, until I was in my 50's. First place was Grants Pass Oregon for two years. Their town slogan is "it's the climate", which is nice and unique for Oregon, but the two summers I lived there, we had an average of five forest fires smoking the state out. I grew up around cane fires in Hawaii and it was just as bad, if not worse. I moved to Newport News, following my daughter and grandkids. I never heard of the town. But after getting here I realized I was right in the middle of history. Revolutionary war, civil war, civil rights, air and space history, it has it all. Weather wise we are in the middle of the north and south and the same with weather. It's a great place to live. I'm not a big fan of the heat in summer or the cold, which isn't as bad as just an hour or two north. I would like to venture out to the small towns in Virginia and other states. This is the reason this video caught my eye.

The secret to making a small town these days is to keep population low and expenses sky high. The less people, the higher the costs.

7:05 I've been using Rocket Money for a few months and still figuring it out. I am using a feature where they will automatically move extra money into a fund that we setup for whatever reason. Paying off cards or saving for a vacation. I got this after a decent equity loan that Rocket Loans gave me last year.

Not that I like the stats in these towns, but its fun to see them. I would love to move to a different town each month to get a feel for them. Maybe I would pick a different set of towns.

0:17 I've been drinking the Ryze mushroom coffee for almost three months now after the last time I ended up in the hospital with my heart racing away. I have a pacemaker/defibrillator and a watchman implant. But I loved my coffee. So far I've adjusted to it. I still like regular coffee, but one cup to see how it was and my heart raced again. The Ryze mushroom is about half the caffeine of one coffee.
