6:13 $100 billion to construct the canal compared to the money that would be realized is a bit of a drop in a bucket.

It just shows that things that could benefit the world can be often right under our noses. A few decades ago the sight would send someone running for a spray can of RAID

They aren't slimy. My chickens would love it. I had some in my compost back when I did aquaponics in Hawaii. Back then I didnt know what they were, but here I could have fed them to my tilapia fish. Lots of aquaponics and chickens in Australia. Tractor supply sells a 4 lb bag of them for $40+. I remember a specialty food was spicy crunchy ones sold like chips. Put enough spice and anything tastes good.

I hope as Trump proceeds, he will make these companies clean up their messes and make sure before they can do anything else.

This is why a new style of war with sleeper cells within our country and all the advancements in drones and technology would probably come from within the country. Except for a world obliterating nuclear war, the only feasible way is from the inside out. Imagine these hundreds of computer guided light drones that are used for magnificent light shows and if an enemy used hundreds of drones with incidendry munitions attached or stronger ones and they are simultaneously launched against key targets. A coordinated event is hard if our intelligence departments do their job, but lately, it seems like a likely possibility.

I grew up in Hawaii and mongoose were released to kill the rats in the sugar fields. The same issue with mongoose coming out in the day and rats at night. For many years they were everywhere and ran across the road. Decades later I hardly saw any mongoose and I don't know if they have any now.

@ranger178 Hawaii doesn't have snakes. They were released to eat rats in the sugar fields.

@BeingJenniRae yep, mongoose during the day and rats come out at night. I noticed a major decline in mongoose and not sure there are any these days.

@nessapainter Hawaii had no snakes. It was for rats in the sugar fields.

@indy_go_blue6048 I grew up on Maui and over the years they declined and I don't know if they still have.

@Zenith-TheMachine I don't think cats were brought in for eradication of anything, just pets gone wild. Mongoose were brought in for the rats though.

@runningman2806 mongoose introduced for rats. I grew up there and noticed a big decline over the years and am not sure there are any these days.

@B30pt87 all the islands had mongoose, except maybe Lanai, Kahoolawe and other small ones. The major islands had them.
1
@roichilders6081 never had snakes. They did it for rats.
1
@ranger178 that tour driver was totally wrong. Hawaii never did have snakes. It was for rats.

Why doesn't California recycle the sewage water for farm use? Plants might like it more than the average person. Then use the fresh water for people. With this idea, there should be two waterlines to the houses. One for fresh water and the other for lawns and outside use.
