  1. I grew up in Maui in Hawaii. As a kid, my parents could get by with a house and 7 kids. Fast forward to me becoming an adult. I watch the cost of living go higher, the speculators and developers jacking up the price of housing and rentals. I stuck it out and was lucky enough to retire from the electric company, but even that and social security wasn't enough to afford to pay my mortgage or just the cost of living. Now at 67, I am happy in Virginia with a house I bought for a fraction of my foreclosed home in Hawaii and it wasn't the most desirable neighborhood either. Here in Virginia life is comfortable. I own a place just shy of 2 acres, raise animals, no HOA to pay and lower food and gas prices. Even though it is a comfortable life here, the country overall sucks and I am hoping that Trump and Elon and his other cabinet members can put us back on track.
