@leovolin7525 Not the same, this is real war not a pointless counterinsurgency conflict. The Americans could chose that it was a waste of time anytime they wanted but they could equally have stayed forever. This war has shown how weak NATO really is. They have run out of basic arms supporting an initially formidable proxy force and the Russians haven't even really broken into a sweat. Western arms are no better than Russian they just cost a lot more. The Russians have outplayed the West diplomatically too with BRICS. All the west can do is sanctions and lawfare via the ICC. Neither has had much effect. Our political class are idiots.

This is a soap opera. The real news from this week was the BRICS summit which accepted Saudi Arabia, Iran and the UAE as members from Jan 1st 2024. This is devastating news for the USA. It means 80% of the oil in the World will be produced by BRICS nations and they are in the process of creating a currency and system which will enable the trading of oil in a BRICS currency. They also control much of the USA's foreign government debt. The boot is on the other foot - they will be able to sanction the USA. Tittle tattle about Wagner PMC is an irrelevance.
