You are assuming Ukraine is getting stronger and Russia is getting weaker. It's the opposite. The Russian economy is doing well, and the army is growing. Could be 3 million men in 2 years.

Even that is looking unlikely. There is a second harder defensive line before Tokmak and a whole ring of defences like a moat round the town itself. I'd like to see some real evidence that the first line has been breached because the report came from anonymous Uke source (might have just been made up)

@mrscooterdave Exchange rate isn't the best measure of economic health. Inflation and growth are better. The Russian economy is growing well and inflation is falling. Same cannot be said for Germany. That economy is heading down the U bend.

thesecishelpingwithxrpscla8361 I don't think Putin wants Poland. The Warsaw pact was really a buffer zone against the West. He didn't actually want any of Ukraine, the breakaway republics tried for 8 years to get recognised by Russia without success. But given the intransigence and insincerity of the West he decided military action was the only way.

@MegaEssin Biggest bully in the World is the USA. Don't support the latest fad and they will sanction that country like a shot. Why is the USA occupying 1/3 of Syria right now? How many governments overthrown? (Like Ukraine in 2014). Looks like those days are over though and they are not taking it well.

@APW554 The F16s have a few problems. They need good airfields to operate from. Hefty maintenance logistics. And of course trained pilots. Airfields will get cratered. If they operate from outside Ukraine that's WW3. Maintenance the same. The Russians won't allow them to fly back and forth to Poland etc. Those airbases will go bye bye - WW3 again. You suggest merc pilots. Not sure that you will get many takers for that given Russian air defence.

@robertpatrick3350 It's not nuclear "threats" it's just reality. If the USA gets directly involved either: 1. They prevail and threaten Russia or the governments existence - Russia pushes the button. 2. More likely they get their butts kicked and use a tactical nuke or go for a full first strike - Russia pushes the button. 3. They get their butts kicked and say, "great war Vlad no hard feelings eh?" shake hands and go home. Those are the options really. Same options would apply in reverse if Russia rocked up on Americas border with malicious intent. @straightreject2947 There was a study that concluded we could recover from a global nuclear war in about 100 years. There would be far fewer people but that's what the Globalists want anyway. The Russians would be far better off than we would be in the UK. They have a much sparser country and bunkers for the public as well as the elite. The UK public would be fried.

@johnandersen-p7q Is that you Hamish?🤣 Where is this "momentum"? Even with a much larger and better equipped army than the UK the offensive has got nowhere. The Russians have beaten them with superior strategy. They knew the Ukrainians are working for the West and have to show results. So they created the toughest fortifications ever seen. So tough they haven't even managed to get to the first real defensive line. So they have made them look useless along with all of the western weapons sent. The desperation is all the coping from the likes of Hamish DBG. (We don't hear much from that other blowhard Tobias Ellwood these days but I'm sure he would be coping and seething just as hard.) Without progress the public are going to say "Why are we pouring all this money into this losing war just like Afghanistan and Iraq?" If we pull the plug the war is over and the killing stops.

@KangaJack-ns9gd That is a fair point. FJB does seem to completely out to lunch 😵‍💫. The conspiracy theorist among us believe that others such as Blinken are actually pulling the strings. Obama and Soros have been mentioned too. I wonder if they would dare let Kamala have a go at fronting the operation 🤔
