They can't win militarily, they never could. The nitwits in Washington and Brussels thought the sanctions would collapse the Russian economy leading to regime change.

@alainlefebvre9860 It's not crashing. Seems like 1 cent was a predetermined trigger for the 3.5% interest rate rise which halted the fall. Can you imagine the horror if the USA or UK raised interest rates by 3.5% given how indebted both countries are?

@Withnail1969 The assumption is that the air raids targeting the electric grid last year were really to expose the Ukrainian air defences. The West spend too much time being cry bullies in the press, UN, ICC etc. and too little actual military planning. That approach is fine for small countries like Iraq but no good against a great power like Russia.
