There are plenty of reports, videos and images showing the rebuilding of Mariupol progressing well.

@chrismckellar9350 Most of the residents were Russian speakers. I expect they will feel far safer with a Russian garrison rather than the AZOVs.

@jacqdanieles Zelensky is about to sign a 500 Billion dollar reconstruction deal with Blackrock. I'd be surprised if 5% makes it into bricks and mortar.

@chrismckellar9350 Well done for realising the situation started back in 2014 with the revolution/coup. And true the Russians did occupy Crimea. (You know I remember when the USA invaded Grenada (UK) on some pretext but that's an aside.) I expect they did it for national security reasons and because it had been Russian for hundreds of years previously. They didn't immediately recognise LPR and DPR though. In fact it took 8 years of provocation to get to that point. It's pretty clear they didn't want to intervene but were left with no choice. That's unlike the USA et al. who will invade a country for no reason at all. (See Project for the new American century for details.)
