  1. If you found a W84 warhead would you be able to make it go flash boom? The answer is no, because it contains a very sophisticated arming circuit (See "permissive action link"). It was the same for Ukraine with the Soviet Union's bombs. If they had tried to steal them, Ukraine would not have existed for very long after that.

  2. The Russians have, for some time, called for a "New European Security Framework". They presented their de-escalation plans to Stoltenberg and Biden. Both rejected them out of hand resulting in the Special Military Operation in Ukraine. So in order to have a lasting peace these plans must be adopted to reduce tensions on Russia's border. That's the "Realpolitik" of the situation.
