@hannekezijlmans6578 It was heading for Ukraine which is a war zone so they boarded it for an inspection to check for contraband. That's what navies do. The idiots on the ship are lucky to be alive.

@hannekezijlmans6578 There may be happens all the time. Just done a quick Google and the Royal Navy boarded a drug smuggling vessel in June. In the Indian ocean. Last time I looked the UK is nowhere near the Indian ocean.

@chimpansi2 I said it was a war zone. Whether Russia categorises the conflict as a war or SMO. is up to them. Zelelensky says it's a war as far as Ukraine is concerned hence the general mobilization.

@chimpansi2 Nope, nowhere near. I think "war" has a particular legal definition and Putin is a lawyer at heart so he declared the intervention an SMO. He could increase that to an anti terrorist operation if he wanted, short of declaring war. Vietnam wasn't a war as far as the USA was concerned nor was Iraq it seems.
