@hedleythorne Nuclear weapons are a reality. Both the USA and Soviet Union have come very close to using them at various times. Of course the USA has used them twice against Japan. So Russia has clearly stated under what conditions it would consider using them as a measure of deterrence against the West, which has recklessly escalated the conflict by supplying Ukraine with arms and money without any regard to what Russia might do in retaliation.

@hedleythorne Russia has probably got the most powerful army in the World right now. It's soon going to be second largest in the World after China but with the best educated officers and battle hardened troops. The nuke warnings are for NATO not Ukraine.

@hedleythorne First point, there is no evidence that Russia has lost 600,000 troops. They have been very careful to avoid casualties by using stand off weapons. The Ukrainians are reporting an 8 to 1 manpower advantage for Russia in various places on the front, where did all the Ukrainian troops go? And they don't really care about the Ukrainians pinned down in Kursk rather than being able to defend Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Vuhledar etc.
