  3. Copemeter off the scale. Phil is massively overstating Russian casualties. Vuhledar population was 14,000 so he thinks Russia lost 8x14000 = 112,000 to take it. There were a few unsuccessful frontal assaults early on in 2023 then the Russians sat back and used airpower. The final push, now that Ukraine is on its last legs, was pretty quick and relatively painless.

  6.  @boink800  It seems the "fighting with shovels" myth actually originated with the British Ministry of Defense in March 2023. 🫡🇬🇧 UK MOD hasn't been exactly honest over the course of the conflict.
