Not possible, the public will never go for it. They are pretty fed up of all the money and equipment wasted in Ukraine.

@runtsgal I'm speaking of the majority. When it becomes obvious how expensive economic mobilisation is in the west they won't want it to prop up Ukraine.

@stuartx7865 Bogus argument. GDP in the west is mainly financial services, the industrial base has been offshored. Russia still has all it's industry and raw materials. The USA is in a better position than Europe but bringing back production would be an enormous upheaval and take a decade or more.

Ukraine had a comprehensive ex-Soviet air defence, far better than any NATO country, it has now been largely attrited. The western replacements seem to be pretty useless, just like the supposedly superior tanks and IFVs.
