The He-177 or the Pe-8? That would have been a tough choice!

ASW: How about the Kyushu Q1W1? Topping out at 200 mph with only a single 7.7mm MG for defense, and carrying only 2 depth charges for offense, it's not much of a combat plane. A range of under 750 nautical miles should limit its ASW potential fairly well. And being Japanese ought to throw another wrench in the logistics machinery. Selling points: it's new (in service Jan 45), it's not a biplane, it looks modern, and it has radar and MAD. With over 150 built and not intended to fight anything other than submarines, after just 9 months of war service, there were bound to be enough survivors to make a squadron or two.

P-39Q: Good choice. With only 15 rounds carried for the main gun, using AP ammo would be a safe bet to not knock anything down. And with a secondary ground attack role, well .... the P-39 was way overhyped in that role, which is why, contrary to popular misconception, that is not the role for which the Soviets used it.

The FW-189 was slow, as you say, however it had a reputation for being anything but "easy meat" for enemy fighters. Being very maneuvable, it was a difficult target for a fighter to get onto or hit.
