Comments by "Sergey Misik" (@Jimmy1972) on "Russian invasion of Ukraine could cause global food crisis, UN warns - BBC News" video.
It is not Russia that is to blame for the global food crisis, but the United States, which introduced illegal economic restrictions that affected the rise in energy prices, and hence food prices. Ukraine mined the Black Sea coast, which made navigation impossible. Everything has a cause and effect. The world will suffer from a food crisis, but Russia is not the cause.

@mykolamatsu if Western countries impose sanctions on Russia to cause a crisis, then they must be prepared for the fact that Russia will respond by doing the same towards them. If they were not ready for this, then this is not Russia's problem. Is not it?

@mykolamatsu This is not true. Due to high energy prices because of the sanctions, Russia is now increasing its oil and gas export revenues compared to before the sanctions. And Europe is not a premium market for Russia. The main market is Asia - China and India with a population exceeding 5 times that of Europe.

@revenant7734 but before that, the United States invaded the zone of vital interests of Russia and organized a coup d'état in Ukraine and overthrew the legally elected government, setting up a puppet government there. Do not call Ukraine a sovereign state, this is a mockery of common sense. Ukraine is dependent on the USA. This is the problem that the Russian armed forces are now solving.

@mykolamatsu who told you that? The Russian economy ranks 6th in the world and 2nd in Europe in terms of its contribution to world GDP. The Russian economy is larger than Britain, France, 2 times larger than Canada.

@mykolamatsu US is only worlds 12 as per GDP per capita. So what?

@mykolamatsu this is not true, if you look at the contribution to world GDP, Russia is in 6th place in the world, and 2nd in Europe after Germany.
