  1. Israel committed unprovoked aggression against an independent state because of its imperial ambitions. Now the entire civilized community must impose on Israel exactly the same sanctions as were previously imposed on Russia, to make it clear that no one is allowed in the modern world to attack an independent country. Otherwise, it will be double standards and political damage to the EU's reputation before the whole world, equal to admitting that sanctions on Russia were imposed not for aggression, but simply for political reasons.
