  1. Putin's interview was originally intended for an educated, intellectual audience who understands how cause-and-effect relationships in politics and history work. That's why he asked at the very beginning, "are we having a serious conversation or a show?" It was important for him to be understood by Western elites, he did not set out to please the general public. Those who claim that the historical part of the interview was useless obviously do not belong to the category of intellectuals. Unfortunately, this is the absolute majority of people in the West. They need popcorn.
