  1. Piers personifies the West with his speeches. He thinks in cliches; the opponent’s reasonable arguments in discourse do not matter to him. With this approach there is no possibility of agreement. The West thought to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, but miscalculated. This war will end on Russia's terms, not the West's. The professor is absolutely right and logically flawless, which cannot be said about Piers.

  2. this explains why Ukraine for Russia is not at all the same as Sweden. Ukraine is historically a Russian land, Kyiv has been a Russian city for many centuries.
