  1. Max, as far as I know the fake engine sound can be disabled in Focus ST. Its option is buried deep somewhere in MENU, but it can be done . The biggest issue with Focus ST I feel is the engine, I mean its not a bad engine, but not exciting either, its almost like a diesel engine, very slow to rev out post 5000 rpm, slowest revving i4 turbo in its class which makes it loose ground to even a 227 hp Golf GTi The Manual is great and handling is great too. I felt this car actually has more traction than even Hyundai i30N Performance, but it loses out to Hyundai in straights owing to super slow engine response post 5000, one always need to kind of short shift it Ford was really lazy in developing a good 2.0 i4 turbo for STs, the 2.3 is a good truck, SUV engine,...not at all a good performance engine
