If this is the trend that the Japanese,British etc Automakers have within 2 years time the German VAG group will cannibalize all brands in the world, already the are too good , and now they are gettting low into the entry performance segment and killing poor brands as well, what the hell happened to British,Japanese engineers, I too remember the good old days of Subarus,Escorts etc nowadays if some1 wants something worth money 1 shud go the German way, cmon Subaru,Mitsubishi,Ford,Renault,Peugot etc rise up!

All Honda fanboys, wait one month more, there are a few more lap times to come, the funny part is in certain circuits the Civic type R is slower than the Seat Leon Cupra 280, so eat ur Jap beans and b happy for the moment,
Autobild,autoweek,sportbuild,aportauto, all have already started getting the R, and the sport auto magazine quoted the Civic Type R to be a life less machine, no charecter,no feel, not the best interior,not yhe best gear shift,and not the best engine either, its like a touring car that gets added weight in form of seats,some comforts,itchy plastics and terrible feel,
The things going strong are, best front differential ever put on a road going car inspired from the Revoknuckle of Focus Rs, the brakes are class leading,engines mid range is strongest among Cupra 280,Megane 265, suspension is super stiff but that gives it lot of abilities too,
Overall the Civic Type R gets just 7.6/10 and they say, a VW Golf R is a better all rounder so is Subaru WrX STi and , Leon Cupra 280 is a better car to drive as well,
So lot more reviewz to come, sheer speed isnt everything, M4 isnt built for that either, and even still I am sure M4 can beat the hell out if R.

Sure let go off the frustration,the new Jaguar isnt a car that s sold solely in Europe,its goin to us,asia,australia,south africa,south america too
And unlike in Europe people love to see Jags,cuz Merc,BMW,AUDI has saturated the 2.0 tdi and BMW 2.0 diesles are flowing so people needs something that looks feels diffefent, I am pretty sure being a Jag it will drive good anyway better than Audi,so its got a chance to take a pie of chunk sales of Audi, once the Jag gets on the road and once peoplw start noticing its appeal it will again evoke emotion within luxury car buyers and enthusiasts,
By all means this Jag feels way better than Lexus,Infiniti,Acura,Cadillac,etc
So it sure does have a chance, many Asians consider owning a Jag as a huge prestiege, already the Audi a3,new q3s etc has made Audis affordable but very few take Jags ,this model will change that, people will consider XE as its spacious,comfortable,looks good,has good tech,good mpg,good to drive,most importantly its a Jag not the regular BMW,AUDI,MERC

All I am saying is just look at this test, it shows the merits of VAG engine,
Its in gear and power post 2500 rpm is way stronger tham what Honda can offer with its engine,
Even Golf Rs 2.0 300 bhp engine is way better,than Hondas 2.0 turbo, VW is a company that advertises power on wheels rather than peak engine power like whats done by Ford,PSA,Honda,Nissan etc...
VW engines once in turbo range has a suoer strong mid range that is way stronger than even Fords 2.3 350 HP motor in RS,
Its progressive torque curve is the best of all 2.0 turbo petrol units in its price range.
Honda maybe a great brand but in front of VW its nothing,

This proves the point, sure NA engines are awesome when it comes to sound, linearity etc, but if someone wants to set some lap times, and some spine tingling in gear acceleration and speed, turbo is the way to go, so nobody should say turbos suck etc etc...
Turbos rock, no wonder the 718, new 911s , new Ford GT,McLaren series etc are turbo s, TURBO rocks

Jmaher please check my previous posts for lap times,Golf R can beat STI,BMW M235I , around some tracks, Merrc is prerry difficult to beat I think,
Also I didnt mean its a bad car but the weapon is getting very expensive and for a little bit more one can get ligjt years better luxury and comfort in R and yet it isnt slow by any means,its just not flat out sports car its 90% sporty,u loose just that 10% but gains a lot,please try Golf R ,I actuallu a VW hater got pinned down by R,its so good man

Exactly man, also check out the lap time the Civic Type R took at Contidrom, that was by the same driver under same circumstance, the driver was of autobild.de and the test subjects were Megabe 275 Trophy R,Civic Type R and BMW M 235i,
One can say the Type R is almost as fast as the M 235i, but never ever it will touch an M4, only Honda fanboy fools will believe such shit, the M4 is a rocket in straight line as well, I mean I had a chance to be in it and it just moves from 0-240 kmph so damn fast almost as fast as a dedicated sports car like the Corvette C7 Stingray which has a 6.2l OHV big v8 and Aluminium body and much more aerodynamic profile,
People dont understand how mighty the M4 is despite having a sedan body shape,super luxurious interior,comforts,quality,refinement, all in 1 single package..
Not even Cadillac ATS is as great as an M4 when we take the whole package in total. The Mercedes C 63 AMG is a good rival to the M4 as well as Porsche 911 Carrera S,

Sure, just stay put man, the RS is always worth the wait, An AudiS4 may be a better luxury car and I reckonU cant get an S4 as well with 50k USD, U need to push at least 56k for S4,
The RS has high demand as of now because its already a proven machine, the RS needs no introduction cuz its already beaten the old WRX STi and EVO X in terms of pure fun and driving thrills despite being FWD,
So when Ford states an AWD Focus RS is due dealers will rejoice and misuse the opportunity quiet natural,I ve seen people complain about such nuisance at Fords facebook page/twitter page etc and getting justice, try that if you want the best 4WD hot hatch, if not try something else, or wait some time, in a few months with new Camaro 1LE etc coming to stores the rush for RS will subside then U might get the RS for the desired price

I dont understand what you guys mean, see have u ever tried the new Mazda 3 and 6,
I have driven it extensively and I absolutely cant ignore iys harsh suspension cheap feeling doors,poor faux wood inserts,horrible and terrible in cabin insulstion,
The i drive like button in center console in the car I drove had a super cheap goggly feel when navigated with some pace like its gonna peel of from its cap,
The ride quality over broken roads were so bad that a passenger on the back seat complained to like drive careful man, but the same way I drove in Audi,Ford Focus,VW golf no problem at all, really jittery ride, also no turbo petrol power plants,
I mean what is all this,if all this are sacrificed to lower cost that dosent mean,its better, also I just always do the door shut thud testing in all cars I drive even a Ford Fiesta/VW polo is as strongly built as a Mazda 3,
So if one needs to find as in where has Mazda cheapened the price tag,its abvious but ignoring it is not the best idea,
Also world car of the year is fluke in your dreams poor boy,its a real test, I am an official who works with an Organisation named SIAM which also makes some contributions to this award in a very indirect way at least and guess what,do you know the runner up of world car of the year 2015, it was Mazda 3 2.2 TDCI and the Audi A3 handily beat it in all respects.

But its expensive, think of VW making a 911 turbo s with justVW gOLF levels of interior quality fearures etc, it wud make GTR cry the hell out,
The reason VW dosent do somethong like that is simple, porsche Vw audi lambo etc are now siblings so if VW makes one like that the rest will follow,
2nd reason is marketing,if they make a car like that all others like r8v10,rs5,etc sales will suffer big time cuz everybody ll go 4 thw budget Gtr killer,

I tried the Leon Cupra 280 dsg at the Slovakia Ring and I cudnt do even what a BMW M235i can do at the ring,
The Focus RS murdered the Cupra 280 innma hands as well,
So there is a lot more than these advertisements,how much performance a layman can extract out f these cars is whats importsnt and for that the Golf R seems to be much better than Club sport and Focus RS does have some gutts too,
Type R is a real hero, very fast but somehow it too felt like a one party trick,
The best all rounder hatch back is definitely Focus RS, a close second is VW Golf R

See the Honda Nurburgring claim is still under scanner, the tire used the engine spec etc was not at all clear,
Also another test at Slovakia Ring between Focus RS and Type R showed that Type R is not that fast, The Slovakia Ring is a very long track, so it suits the Hondas nature best and despite having way better power toweight than Focus RS and RS having PSS and noy Cup 2s,
Botj did the same lap time of 2:34.90 for RS and Type R was 2:34.95
Not just that in a lot of other tracks too even Seat Leon Cupra SC can hang on or beat the Type R showing its not the best.
Evo car of the year also tested the Tupe R vs Focus RS vs Leon Cupra SC vs Clubsport S at Bedford Autodrome west.
They too say the Ckubsport S is easily best FWD hot hatch, its also a better hot hatch than Focus RS and Type R, the 2nd best is again surprise Leon Cupra SC 290,
So even though Type R is good, its really not the best...any brand can beat the Honda, but taking business into account the brands are doing it the safe way.
Honda has just 2 performance cars to sell a Type R and NSX unlike VW,Seat,Ford etc who have like more than 2 hot carz per segment,
So they wont make a track special car and over price it,

sic22l See do u think Focus wud ve become worlds best selling car with the European setup, it was not just Europe that elevated Focuses sales, it was China,Taiwan,Thailand,USA,Brazil,Australia as well, and in all these countries whether u believe or not COMFORT is top priority not handling, so Ford made the MK3 much more softer to appeal to the global audience without tryin to harm handling and it didnt work quiet well for European buyer but elsewhere it worked
Also Golf is a major Ford killer in 2 forms , in the form of Octavia where space is limousine like and in the form of Golf where quality just leaped boundaries,I am dead sure if VW had not released the MK7 Golfs by 2013, Ford wud definitely have had a chance with the face lift at least, but Golf became lighter so more agile yet quality is in Audi territory,also if 1 wants space Octavia or Jetta r too Golfs, so it just made monstrous sense to go after MQB rather than Focus
Anyway Ford will update Focus by 2017 with release of RS by 2016, and it might jump well into Audi,BMW territory in terms of quality,refinement,SPACE etc and Ford is trying hard on it according to USA based Ford insights cuz they r well aware of Golfs might

Golf has always been Fords nemesis,from Fiesta to Mondeo VW has Polo to Passat to pick a fight and this fight is too hard for Ford cuz VW is such a multi billionaire plant compared to Ford,VW dont even care about losses,in USA VW is in such heavy loss that most other brands in this lossy state wud stop making cars,but VW has so much budget that they just kept their cool,sold cars for extremely lossy prices,yet the overall global revenue is so damn high that they still keep goin in USA
So its pretty damn difficult to fight a VW or Skoda for any brand,

The highlight of new C platform is more space and more built in safety and refinement without loosing fun to drive nature,
Also take a look at Fords chinese Escort,its an awesome car developed in China with Fords mk2 chassis and underpinnings,that car will b an experiment in china,if Ford can sell more than 50% or more Escorts than Focus in China that car will go global,
Take a look at that car and think of it,its definitely gonna overtake Focus,u now why, space,family friendly nature,this is what people want more than fun to drive,so one cant blame Ford for making Focus softer

No man,u r not getting to the point,back in 2006 Focus had just the Golf and Astra as comprtition,Hyundais,peugots,citroens,renaults etc were worse,but by 2010 all the other brands started improving interior space and interior quality and for a layman SPACE IS LUXURY,and Focus with mk3 made a big mistake it became more comfy but it dosent have the effective space inside compared to competition,also quality and feature list on competition were so high that it was compelling.
See the mk3 focus is one of best selling car in the world currently in 3 rd place,and if this improvement over mk2 wasnt made it would have failed hard in almost all other markets and Focus wud have been an EU only car with constant sales and no improvement.
Focus is still a good car but Golf is better with lighter MQB and Audi rivaling interior quality its common sense for most Eu people to buy Golf over Focus,just take an entry level 1.6 TDI or 1.2,1.4 tsi and it made lot of sense over Focus,also if space is important Golf again comes in form of Octavia and if handling is important again Golf comes in its 3rd avatar Seat Leon,so basically Focus got attacked from all angles, also in lots of countries where people preferred AT cars Fords powershift is no where near as good as VWs Dsg so that too impacted,also just see how good the new i30,ix35, i40 models from hyundai are they too just raised the quality bar equal to the Focus,so the Focus was under boat load of pressure.
Also can u explain why Mondeo sales dipped hard and Fords Mondeo plant in Spain too was closed,Mondeo even till 2014 is best handling car but sales declined drastically naa,its just not handling but quality,comfort,space,luxury too are what people care more about nowadays,in these aspects Ford isnt a highlight anymore,thats why
Now as told before Ford will launch mk4 focus and mk7 Fiesta by 2017 until then sales need to be kept constant,for that the facelift,by that time Fors too will reach a highly Golf competetive level still having a fraction of edge on handling department over Golfs,

I agree to ur point to an extent but if Ford was in Europe only,then could have ended closing factories in Asia,australia,usa etc so they were forced to make a global car,
Even if Ford had made the mk3 handle like go kart,it wouldnt make em enuf profit to sustain outside Europe,also if u know Mazda is making huge progress and Ford cannot easily compete with Mazda as well cuz it ll give customers better handling car with cheaper price tag,so Ford was forced to make Focus softer,also Fords RS division manager Carlos was bought by VW,I mean VW is making world domination campaign now,to resist that global growth is a must.

Sure they could have used a different suspension setup for EU and even new Mondeo isnt the best handling car in its class anymore its again a Mazda 6, see the new gen Mazda is really good,
One should also understand that Focus still handles better than Golf,the mk7 is the one that really closed the gap that too only in 2013 that too due to lighter weight,so focus still handles brilliantly compared to competition,
More for the last two years as well Focuses sales remained constant,i just checked it for Europe,the sales decline came from Mondeo,S max,C max,and the Kuga couldnt ignite sales as well,so I dont think Focus is to fault here,Ford lost heavily in eu due to spain,belgium,russia,italy all these countries had economic recession and since Ford had plants eveywhere,depreciation occured heavily,so second hand market gained over first hand ones making lot of Fords stay on their own stables.
By 2013 focus sales declined a bit due to new Golf,but the real loss was Mondeo,s max,galaxy,etc which people didnt buy even with rebates,so I dont think handling was a serious issue as mentioned,
The lack of handling might have disappoonted just 10% customers,90% still like the Focus but GOLF does everything,in a balanced way and the interior just crosed boundaries thats why I tell its Golf thats hurting Focus and even the renaults and peugots,its too good now.

The VW group is the one thats creating the problem, think f it, if there was no Golf, then Focus wud ve been in its place easily
The Golfs interior,rolls royce of hatchbacks comfort,refinement,and even handling just cannot be ignored,
Fords MK3 is already 3 years old when Golf put out the MK7,so time advantage too goes to the Golf,Ford knows what they r doing, they kno they ve messed up the MK3 even still it became a success elsewhere in the world cuz of comfort,like in Asia,Australia,USA etc
Sure Ford cud ve made a more agile Focus for EUrope but the already ailing economy and blistering competition made em think, lets back off a bit, give the designers and engineers more time to perfect the MK4,so until mk4 comes out MK3 will be loosing sales,its quiet natural, if it had that MK2 levels of handling too it would have depreciated quiet a bit still not at this rate in Europe, but else where it would have died off, so its not easy as it seems to make different suspensions for different continents, different tuning is OK

Well I cant argue,from Europeans sales chart its pretty much clear that Focus when launched in 2011 the mk3 had a huge spike in sales by december 2011,by 2012 december Focus became one of worlds best selling car and Europes 4th best seller,mk7 golf got launched by 2013 and thats when Focuses sales started declining heavily not only in Europe but in Australia,and with Mazda 3 etc in Usa there too sales decline,whereas for the worlds biggest market China the sales are increasing at like 200% rate,I bet if Focus was as hardcore as the one in Europe this would have never occoured in China,Malaysia,australia,etc
What u shud understand is its not easy to combine refinement with quality with handling,and as of now Golf does it better
Sure Focus has gone a couple of notches below in terms of handling but the number of modern new customers who desire quality,luxury,comfort is more than people who desire for handling,thats a truth even for Europe,
Focus face lift will again raise Focus interest quite a bit because the poor interior design was a deal breaker for a lot of people,now its solved,also a touch screen too comes as standard,different tune for electric power assisted steering too,evn tho the face lift dosent seem significant according to media reviews I find it a MUST for Focus and this will increase sales of Focus cuz luckily with face lift no price hike like the hike in price of mk7 golf,
Also addition of DCT auto with paddle shifters at higher trims too will keep keen drivers thinking,like shud I buy DSG or DCT,cuz of paddle shifters.
There is a lot of things going on for Focus,its all about integraring everything into a single package,I am sure a stiffer susoension setup and a electro mechanical steering would have made Focus much more appealing in Europe but,the extra cost they spent for these developements only fir Europe wont give global Ford any significant gains,
Also new 1.5 tdci has sorted out a lot of Dpf issues and emits less than 100g co2,so its got cleaner while providing more power,so Focus will strike back but not with the same force as it used to be,but will make up a respectable sales number.

Its a C7 Corvette Stingray
Reason is pure and simple,
Front engine big V8
Smart handling, good living space with all modern amenities,
Lots of traction decent to great steering feel,
Lot of perforance at an affordable price tag,
I ve driven 911 Carrera S and I love it more than Stingray but its out of a common mans affordable limits,
While the Stingray is affordable proper super car.
Again regarding NSX, I am not saying its the worst but defonitely not upto Huracan,R8v10+,McLarens, or even Nissam GTRs,
Even a hardcore Honda fan who has an S2000 who has piled up cash for the NSX was utterly disappointed after driving NSX,
He says its fat and does feel so at corners, the steering has almost 100% assisted feel which he says takes away from a super car experience, the brakes felt incredibly artifocial, even the interior and infotainment etc felt sub par compared with a 911 or any of its competirion,
He has booked a new Boxster S as of now.

Road and track is not even as genuine as the Car and driver guys, and is probably the only magazine that gave NSX a thumps UP,
Motor Trend, autocar, auto express, top gear, and almost all of the German magazines including sport auto gave the NSX an average score at best, now deal with it
NSX is no way a great car, I say the gen 1 NSX was a much much better machine than the new piece of shit

I have driven the Mondeo and the new one that is Fusion as well,but its not as good as current gen Mercedes E class and BMW 3.series and maybe as good as a Passat ,still what I absoluty hate to say is new Mondeo isnt as spacious inside ss new Passat,its at best as spacious inside as new Merc C class,
Also interior quality generally is very good but on the centre of centre console there r some really annoying scratchy plastics
The new Mondeos automatic 6 speed torque converter sucks
And as from this video it lacks steering feedback of old unit as well
All in all new Mondeo is a great car but its not an outright better product over the new Passat and the German trio,
Since pricing is cheaper in UK its got a faint chance to succeed,still its not a compelling package as it used to be
Its not because Mondeo is bad but competition is that tuff specially the new Passat its much more spacious,dsg is waybetter,has lots f clever features,its economical in a way new Passar is a better car but Mondeo looks the part and the quietness new Mondeo has inside is something that ezceexs class expectations,

Cuz for some who wants peace of mind and cheap luxury the Lexus makes sense,there r a lot of soft riders,who just want quiet ride,plush ride,comfy features and space and for em lexus makes sense cuz its cheaper 2 buy,but its no way overall a better car than German trio,thats y so much brand image still halos German trio,the German trio earned those names with hard work and supreme attention to detail,
Lexus is a brand that grew up tryin to immitate and compete with em,
Just look at latest lexus RCF its crap compared to German trio,still its a lexus,so cheap and reliable,thats wht some people want,so it ll stay in market for some time,but when German trio makes the next step lexus will lag,again play catch up,this ll continue

See I am an auto journalist as well and since I too test cars I have no bias but I ll admit that I love Fords thats why the name ponygt662,aprt from that when I tested the handling,ride quality,luxury provided,etc I found lexus to be like beefed up Toyotas,like richer Camry,richer Avalon,etc,
Also most Lexuses were slow too,they are good for calm quiet people but if someone really loves driving and wants a car with well balanced qualities its definitely not Lexus.

Lexus has just one LFA whereas VAG has lots of cars,what is a Bugatti Veyron, its a VW,how many diesels do Lexus have, VW has v10,V12,v8 tdi that r more economical and more powerful than any Lexus Hybrid cars or gas v8s

Interior quality is good for both but BMW,AUDI,MERC etc feel more plush and user friendly and the touch screen is of lkw resolution in Lexus and the joystick based input is finicky to use compared to i drive and Audis new super cool speedometer integrated mmi system. Also the German competition leaves more space in the front for driver somehow due to restrained design.
Also VW has Lambo,Porsche, now under its arms so Lexus has no chance,
Give me a Lexus substitute to BMW M235I,AUDI S3,MERC CLA 45 AMG, afforbadle fast beasts with small engines so less carbon emissions and fast as hell.
Why do you think Lexus isnt selling much in Europe,I too had this notion that relaibility is everuthing,but for a person who can spend that much money,the car should be special,so BMW drive brilliant has smart petrol and diesel low displacement engines,and dosent suffer from annoying cvts and slow heavy entry level performance cars,

Have you been to Aston Martins v8 fascility in Germany,
Do you know the chief designer of new Mondeo used to work for Aston Martin, do you know how much Aston and Ford were co operating back in 2003-05 etc building Vantages,
Fords coyote platform is shared between Jaguar and Aston Martin as well,so the relation between Ford,Aston Martin,JLR is much deeper than a lot of people think,
For eg check out the US only vehicle named Ford Explorer,its supremely reminiscent of Range Rover sport and even houses a second gen terrain response system almost the same thing JLR vehicle uses for their AWD too.
They helped mutually,I mean Aston and Ford to build one of worlds best virtual reality design center where goggles can be used to see and even feel a to be produced car,
So they worked togather a lot more than what internet shares,Ford helped Aston deeply to build its v8 fascility,if not for that ASTON wouldnt have known anything about mass manufacturing,so Aston had mutual respect as well,
Again Fords relationship with Volvo too was intense,they learned a lot of safety and solidity from Volvo,even Fords Taurus US versin is a volvo s80 platform.
Did u even bother to check the images of Ford thunderbird and Ford Puma before commentin,see these cars were from 90s and they had similar Aston Martin cues and styling as well, Ford and Aston Martin had some design themes that were similar,but since these brands were in really good relatuonship both accepted and even today they have no problem,its we who think it looks Aston ish, bo where did Aston Martin make a statement about it.

What I am talking about is the same type of design themes Ford,Jag,Aston used in lot of models,
U can go on complaining about it,but from Fiesta to Mondeo,Ford has some design cues that matches with Astons design,even before iy got this new grille,one can see the pronounced swept back headlight design,Ford decided to give face lift to that face by sperating logo from grille to bonnet region like in FORD GT, if one does that Fords trapezoidal grille is full of black plastic that wont exude premiumness,so they chromed it out ,
Sure it has Aston Martin cues but hey Aston designers were given the face lift job and the finished product got maximum. Votes for production as well.
Thats what makes Ford have a differnt loook from its competirion most of em having logos on grilles,
If it was an issue like what u ve been pointin out Astom wud ve filed a patent complaint,nothing happened,just because Aston excists dosent mean an everyday brand like that one shouldnt exist unless its a true copy,in Europe Fieata is one of best selling small cars as well, Focus the 3rd best selling car in the world,both of em now has this new face and its just gettin more and more popular,

It now has the worst back seats in compact C car class, has the worst drummy plastic interiors, lots and lots of fit and finish issues,
Pathetic boot space despite having longer wheelbase and length than Golf,snd yey its still not as good handling as its MK II big brothet or thr Mazda 3.

I am not from Europe I am from Asia but I van tell u one thing,Focus dosent sell well cuz it lost its handling,this is a wrong notion,
First thing u need to know is Focus even without hydraulic power assisted steering and the old stiff setup now handles better than most cars in fact I still think its even better to drive than a Mazda 3
The second thing is the handling gap has sure come down,mk2 and mk1 focus had a long shot in terms of handling whereas quality,refinement,safety,technology easily was lacking,so Ford improved it to play the catch up,but that didnt work quiet well due to poorly designed interior,
Another thing that people value much much more than space is the green house and space inside,Focus mk2 had more effective legroom and knee room inside than MK3,and that made Focus challenging one to pick over its competition.
Also have u driven the Golf or Octavia or peugot 308 ot somethin like that lately,u ll find that most of em has become simple to use inside and more rich in quality,refinement,tech etc,
For any layman Mazda handles better than Focus and Golf,then y is it that the new Mazda 3 and even new cx5 isnt making hay like it shud ve been, its easy, The GOLF its the biggest problem for Europe,MQB is too good that it kills allnof its competition in form of GOLFs,OCTAVIAs seats

Let them compare it on a fair day and on same time, on similar conditions, also the 275 Hp Renault Megane trophy and Seat Leon cupra 280 too did beat the M4, which isnt something that will happen in reality, just keep ur hopes high but nothing can beat a turbo straight six and the M differential, its already done 1:38.9 in Laguna Seca which is mighty for a luxury car based sports car, just wait, U havent seen Hondas ugly face, it sure wont beat the M4 in long tracks, the M4 can definitely do better.

See I have driven M4, its way way way better than CTR, maybe its built quality,comfort,features,ride quality,power,sound,fun to drive factor,interior designing,seats, all are way way way better than CTR, CTR is for those Honda fanboys only, I am an enthusiast and I love all superb machines, true, the CTR is best fwd car ever built but it isnt feelsome,it is just a plain jane fast fwd car, even a Fiesta ST is more Fun to drive than CTR.

Here are the lap times with regular BMW summer tires,
I dunno whether Hybrid Peugeuot is faster but the type R is not fukkim maggot,
I ve tested em in real life, at Rockingh UK and the type R was not even 0.5s faster than a Seat Leon Cupra DSG 280, the Bimmer was easily over 4s fast in Rockingham,
The type R and Leon Cupra and Focus RS mkV, all can come close to or beat M4 in short tight circuits hell even an Audi R8v10+ wont be significantly faster than Type R in such a circuit but thats not what matters, its speed,straight line,the balance,the steering feel,the corner exits, U dont pay BMW for nothing, U Honda bitches think plastics interior design all are just for practocality,hell no,BMW makes luxury cars,BMW gives effortless speed and that combined with luxury feel, Honda cannot do something like BMW,I am not a BMW fanboy in fact I am a Ford fan,I am waiting for Focus RS, but I too thought Civic wud b great with all that Nurburgring shit Honda advertised,tried one at Rockimgham, sorry the BMW raped Honda and some Honda fans BTCC honda fans as well well in the open in public Rockingham,

The BMW M235i vs Type R is a better comparison if U ask me, there too BMW with LSD is extremely potent,but sure might be just fast or slower than Type R,
Also the type R has turbo lag and is a shitty daily driver, the M235i etc spools turbos like at 1250 rpm, unlike type R which goes On and Off at times and has a pain in the ass heavy clutch and super feel less steering,it almost feels like a fast toy,tin can feeling as well,compared to robust solid tank like feel of Bimmers.

What big foolishness are you talking about, its still laggy, I have driven it with my foot and my hands and its laggy,
Its not as laggy as Subarus Wrx sti or Opel engine but definitely has more lag than Focus ST,Golf R,Bmw m235i and lag is lag,
Also the city ride is uber harsh compared to Bimmer,
Then there is no noise cancellation nothing it feels like u r in a kit car at speeds excess of 90 kmph, Bimmer feels quiet from road wind noise etc till 140,
Interior plastics are so baaawk,shit comoared to even BMW M235i let alone M4,
I van vouche that an Audi 2.0 turbo making 310 PS is way way way way better engine than CTRs 2.0 turbo,

Sure the 911 turbo s and GTR are some of fastest cars in the world but they are not exotics, an exotic should have that much developement,exotic materials in use and heritage and charecter built into it to get that badge,

However good the turbo S maybe it wont b a supercar its a sports car ,true there are lots of sports cars that are faster than supercars but one pays a lot more for super cars and its not going waste,the exclusivity and exotic method used for that car will always b exotic,
Honda could have made the NSX a supercar with carbon fiber and more importantly if it had 600+ hp,

So is the new Corvette C7 Z06 , ya its front engine,but it just lapped Nordschleife BTG in 7:17.7 s, thats one of the fastest times ever made by a car that costs less than 120000 pounds, not even GT3 RS managed it, maybe the new GT3 RS will still it will cost 2x the price tag of Stingray Z06, so as an enthusiast I respect the worked GM did in case of Vette

I am not lying, I dont need to, Suzukis best handling car is the Swift agreed but its still far cry from Fiesta and Polo,
The straight line stability is no match at 1st, I ve driven the Swift Sport back in 2013, sure its no joke but its no way near as stable at higher speeds,it very agile at tight bends but fails to mask under steer like Fiesta does,
Th steering has a dead centre
At speeds excess of 120 kmph, one feels like its gonna take off from road and steering is really vague, also the self centering at speeds is terrible,it just centres very aggressively but the rear suspension makes it bounce off and shakes the cabin violently,
Its smart handler say between 0-120 kmph, any speed above that the Swift is nervous and lacks the panche of Fiesta or even Polo,,
Sure Polo is a little boring but its straight line speed is even better than Fiestas and even stability is better than Fiesta,
The steering of Polo and Swift has almost same feel but the dead centre of Swift lets it down even more
At slower corners Swift felt faster but at fast corners Polo destroys SWIFT,
So as for me my requirements for a hot hatch the Polo Gt Tsi and the Fiesta ST are the ultimate choices, Fiesta ST is King I wud say, even if it costs a little bit more than Swift its 200% worth the extra cash,

But overall I like it better than Ibiza now, the previous Fiesta ST I have had such a drab interior that I always try to forget by pushing pedal to metal, this one looks and feels like its nearing Skoda levels , still not VW perfect, but way more funky than VW interiors
I am really looking forward to the new Fiesta ST, its said to have a new twin scroll turbo attached to the 1.0 i3, its stated tune is 180 HP @ 6000 rpm and 170 NM @ 1750 rpm, and over boost to 200 NM is made for 15s between 2000-4000 rpm,
The new Fiesta ST is lighter than old ST by 15 kgs so Ford says it wont affect performance while the 15 kg has been shaved off from front meaning even more sharper front end
All I am worried about is turbo lag, the 1.6 had almost no turbo lag, gotta see how the new 1.0 180 HP does

No need for 4wd on a car like ka+ , ignis 4wd too is shit , its just there thats it, u cant even do mild off roading with it,
Also just feel the doors etc of ignis, i felt like its made of cardboard paprr, that pathetic is the built quality, compred to thst ford felt better,

Sure but who else has a competitiom against Dacia, VW has Up,Skoda Citigo, Nissan Micra,Suzuki Swift etc are Dacia rivals, all of which are worth a fight with Ka+,
The Ka+ is all about basic transportation, the KA+ is simple and old school, an old NA engine ensures long life with minimum troubles unlike TDCis and ecoboosts which does have isses post 75k kms,
Its more comfortsbly sprung than Fiesta because it focuses on ride comfort more than sportiness, it drives well because its Fiesta MK V underneath, its spacious for a hatch back, its super small in demensions so easy to park,manuver and drive.
Its sure a means to push Fiesta upmarket as well, but not that alone, the KA+ is a very good car, once U try it out only U ll understand, one will feel like why we pay for all gmmicks when one can get all basics of transportation right in a 11k city car

Thats a turbo diesel , and still its a turbo, and the 2.2 sky active diesel is derived from PSA 2.2 HDI diesel engine in case you didnt know,
The same engine is as reliable and as quiet as in Mazda in psa,applications as well,Mazda just named it sky active because they made little changes to it ,
What u really dont understand is about petrols, Mazda still sells less than 5% cars with diesels , and even after so much promotion from lot of sources itself people are still preferong VW GOLF or Ford Focus over Mazda because Europeans like more quietness,more balanced riding,more stiffer cabin,more dense soft touch plastics,more advanced turbo diesls with better gearboxes like DSG over Mazdas,

Its what one wants from a car,if one thinks Mazda 3 is as luxuruous as bmw and audi its wrong,its better value hands down,but is it value that counts most,for me I cant live with a car like Mazda 3 with its stiff ride which Matt Watson ignored and the super crappy cabin insulation that makes me feel car is made out of tin can and the not so robust thudding doors and the infotsinment system that looks like Mazda was trying to copy VW and BMW all at one go,
I also tried increasing the volume of the head unit inside Mazda 6 not 3 and there u go the speaker grill startes rattling with good bass sounds from speaker,never have i faced such issues even in a Golf or Focus,
Thats why I say,Mazda is giving car for better price but its not like it hasnt cut corners its cut lot of important things as well,like ride comfort,tge British B roads are damn bumpy and Mazda 3 will five u spine tingling ride compared to plusher Ford,VW,BMW,AUDI

This is the first time Mazda did show it can make god diesels at least
I absolutely love petrols and Mazdas 2.0 NA engine is no match for the 1.4 TSI and 1.8 TSI or the ecoboost or even the 116i petrols from BMW, thats what I claimed
The atmospheric engine of Mazda is too damn slow and didnt get anywhere near as the mpg quoted
Ok, but what about the other factors like pooor insulation,poor ride, my question is arent they priorities specially ride quality,
I am sure Mazda has the lest refined ride quality of the 3 sampled here in this video, still why prefer it like ride can be neglected,
I felt the ride specially at slow speeds below 50 kmph to be too harsh, and when speed gets atop 70 the cabin starts booming with road,wind and tire noise, its too damn loud that the radios volume had to be topped up to distract it and there comes rattles from the speaker housing grills from doors, pity built quality

I am sure biased but not towards Audi/VW/BMW to Ford and still I say Mazda isnt as god as Audi cuz its not even good as some current gen Fords,
EVerybody knows how good Mazdas tech is the i e loop is also something that works rather than a gimmick, agreed but Y still no reply on the compromises Mazda made to pack bigger engine,more tech,etc
Also the 2.2 is based on PSA architecture, that means without the PSA Mazda cannot draw the first lines on drawing boards, same for Fords TDCI and Jaguars 2.2 l diesel
If u r talkin this way let me say the Audi/BMW is way way better and stronger built than Mazda,much better fit and finish, BMW gets RWD,Audi is most spacious,see each has its own strong points
I specifically like the European engg cuz I felt the corners cut in Mazda are something that really makes one decide like ride quality,cabin quietness and general lack of solidity in cabin compared to Euro products,
U keep on arguing but after driving the new Mazda 6 and 3 and the Fusion/Mondeo in USA back to back I was skeptical
Back here when I drove it over some really bad roads,I absolutely hated mazda, even the 2012 Focus I was driving had much much better cabin insulation,better solidity,better power from 2.0 180 hp TDCI and my deal breaker smooth ride and Focus dosent cost much more than Mazda , still pricier
I recently drove the MK7 Golf and it just kills the Mazda, no way Mazda is better than Golf

Ford and Mazda both worked close really close and shared technology like siblings did, same way Ford was extremely closely working with Aston Martin and Volvo as well,
One cant argue that Ford shared more tech from Mazda or the other way round,but when it comes to diesels both Ford and Mazda shared architecture from PSA Ford named it TDCI and Mazda didnt have any specific name till 2010 cuz they used too much from PSA and was still under developement,
Have you visited Fords plant at Belgium,if not I have and that was an eye opener,Mazda and Ford shared lot and among the first gen Fiesta,Focus,Mondeo it was more Ford and less Mazda, by 2008 etc it was 60:40 ford:mazda,
I have heard of zetec,and much more and that dosent have much to do with Mazda
Also the 2.2 diesel was shared architecture,i have seen it,its shared between PSA,FORD,JAGUAR,MAZDA all have their own versions of PSA 2.2
I am not praising Ford here either,but Mazda isnt substantialas far as I am cincerned,its a cheap feeling car with lot of grunt and economy and value, its isnt nearly as luxurious feeling as the GOLF,A3,BMW in some aspects or the other,actually Focus and Mazda 3 are really close to seperate cuz Ford recently hasnt got much better than the Golf,which is superb car,
Forget reliabity for a moment and drive all these and tell which is better engineered.

I cant argue with you, I saw how Ford,Mazda both used the blue prints of the PSA based 2.2 Hdi to develop their own versions of it,
Eg koenissegg uses Fords modular v8 engine block as its base to develop 1000+ hp and is most powerful engine in the world but that dosent mean that engine is Ford v8
Same way Mazda,Jaguar,FORD all 3 didnt have their own base for building their respective diesels,all had or got the rudimentary idea from the architecture used by PSA 2.2 , even PSA HDi is vastly different from what Mazda makes but architecture is same,
I 2 had no idea of these things but the visit to Belgium plant showed me a lot on how auto brands are co related beyond whats we know and whats shared through internet.
I agree that Mazda and Ford are not close post 2010 but b4 that they were worked togather.
Zetec,duratec,sigma,rocam,puma all are Ford engines that shares Mazda expertise as well, same way these engines and their tech are used by Mazda in lot of their vehicles as well,except Sigma and ecoboosts.
Have u heard of Mazda L engines and Ford F engines etc,I have and at least research on it before sayin Mazda and Ford didnt work close.
Fords focus is a car that got derived from an Escort that split into FWD domain and AWD and RWd domain, the RWD domain was based on Mazda Rx series platform as well I think.
I testex Mazda 6 in USA and 3 in Britain and it didnt feel refined or comfortable as a Golf,its suspension was too stiff,cabin insulation is soo bad that one cant talk normally inside the car and the Mazda 6 interior door speaker housing rattled when I popped up the volume in the Bose system,
The rotary knobs in the centre console was already like coming off as well,the car didnt have more than 10000 miles on odo,even still
Whereas the Golf,it was solid,its balance between,comfort,quietness,refinement,handling,power,efficiency,quality,space,ergonomics,solidity was impeccable,
Also dont forget that both Audi a3 and VW golf both won world car if the yearas well,which in no way is coincidence, showz how strong the MQB patform is

Look at Motor Trends car of the year 2014,its an American magazine and its the MK7 GOLF,Australia is Mazdas best market and there too if u ask people they desire for VW but since its expensive they settle with Mazda or Focus,
Also why is it that everybody is ignoring the bad points of Mazda and highlighting its strong points,
1. Is it more comfy to drive than Focus,Golf,astra,audi,bme,merc
2.is it quiet inside at least as of a Toyota?
3.is it built better than cars of q1?
My answer for these 3 are NO
Then how can one say its outright better when it has cut some seriosu corners.
Also Mazda can or will never touch even Ford for ssles even if its going to be cheaper than what it is now, VW has already ,put the foundation for worlds biggesr automotive brand,
With such poor ride ride quality and insulation it will never reach a premium car aspirsnt maybe for a regular joe who just needs a ride it ll be good but no way for someone who is focused on something like ride,handling,comfort,wuality... All in a single package.
Vw sells more cars in the world than any other brand in the world buddy, not even Toyota is gonna hold too long,GM has already fallen in China worlds largest car market,with new passat and some compact suvs VW will rule the world by 2020. I will bet on it.

See a car thats priced low yet has everything on offer,thats not what Mazda is,if it was I too wud ve agreed with this video,
I have driven the new 3 and 6 and Mazda has cut corners which a lot of Audi,BMW,Ford,VW,MG,SEAT,SKODA,... Buyers cant ignore
For 1 its suspension is super stiff to sttain that brilliant handling,its not like the Golf and Focus where ride is supple yet handling is brilliant,its too stiff at times over B roads
Also the cabin is the loudest of any car in this segment,I bet even a VW Polo and Ford Fiesta are as quiet as Mazda 3 and,6 at highway speeds,its too loud and one feels like one has bought a budget cheap car inside due to excessive wind and road noise in Mazda,thats a gleeming omission
Also just shut the door of Mazda,Golf and Focus and I felt Focus and Golf had a much better solid prominent thud,Mazda again felt tinny,its not a big deal for some but for some it is
So dont tell that its better on all counts,its just an above average product,still not good enough to beat 1.4 tsi Golf and 2.0 tdi golf and 1.5 ecoboost Focus and 2.0 tdci Focus

If its prone to break down how come people buy it more than any other car, even Toyota has no chance against Golf subjectiveley speaking,
Also Audi is rebadged VWs is true upto 30%, but once past that there s nothing in common, the new RS3 with 360 hp is said to kill a lot of v8s just for fun, thats the kind of power Audi has with its new gen quattro and dsg,

Vw s biggest seller in China is PASSAT and that is wirh joint venture with Chinese car makers as well, and thats why i as a journalist having taken opinions from Chinese owners am sure that people love and prefer VW and Fords
GM sells boring cars but buick,cadillac,etc makes money there,

In India VW is still very immature but if u ask any Indian which is the car u desire below 30 lakh RS INR they ll tell any 3 German brands no body will ever tell a Toyota or Honda,
They consider Toyota honda as cheap,and since chepnesa sells everywhere like in USA they 2 sell well,
Cheapness dosent sell in europe thats why Japanese and Korean brands sell less there,in Europe people just look for pure quality thats why VW beats the hell out of Corolla and Mazdas, even in Australia also the Mazda is playing its best game but VW is so damn strong that Mazda customers are turning to VWs but the reverse is very less.

All other brands have strengths but weaknesses too,VW too has weakness but the strengths far out weigh the weakness,
I told Passat best seller cuz Passat is the best original VW sold there,rest all are China made VWs out of MQB chassis,
Also there is something more than this thats what I am talkin about, desire, nobody in Asia desires for a Corolla or Accord or Civic, all think they are cheap compromising alternatives but almost all desire a VW Jetta or Golf over a toyo or honda or nissan or hyundai or mazda
Almost all desire a Passat over an Accord or Camry or Sonata or Mazda 6, from where they got these aspirational values is from long years of expertise and experience and prowess they ve built over these years
Dont u agree that Mazda made Mazda 6 and Mazda 3 because it wanted to trump VW Golf nd MONDEO and Passat,who started the premium hatch back category back in 76,its a VW Golf Mk1,see I have given u more than enuf proof that says VW Golf is a better car than most hatches,its often called king of hatch backs and even as a guy who loves Ford cars I agree that Golf is a better car than any other car in the world,

If u havent been in an MK7 GOLF and its derivatives u r missing something,trust me the new Golf is undeniably the best car I ve ever driven,its fast,has more space in it than all f its rivals,has the best ride quality of any car under 2 segments above,i mean u wont know any bumps or pothholes on road in a Golf it just glides over it,even Focus lets u kno a bit, Mazda is stiff and will make a jolt in cabin,
Its quiet inside its good good infotainment,DSg is toodamn fast and gets superb mpg,
I mean there is nearly 0 compromise except for service costs and initial premium

See why is it that nobody agreez that the new STI is slower than Audi s3,i having driven a new Golf R is pretty damn sure how the new R performs,more over the drag race here shows how much the new R or s3 can pull ahead off the STI on a straight course,the new STI isnt as good as expected from Subaru,accept it people,
Germans have now become soo good,i actually hated VW products,look at ma proxy name,i love Ford cars and never ever i thought i would even apprwciate a VW but having driven the new R,i must admit that its leagues ahead of ones preception,everybody says it lacks feel blah blah blah, sure it isnt as pin point sharp but it has more than 90% of abilities of Subaru with lightyears ahead of luxury comforts etc as addition,its a fact
If somebody thinks otherwise it must be that one must be a hardcore driving enthusiast or some kind of racing driver aspirant,for 90%+ of people who are buying performance hatchs the new R or s3 is way better car,period

I too have driven Megane 265 and Focus RS as well, also MK6 Golf R, try not to argue without driving the new R or Audi S3, I know how that beauty Megane corners with that supremely good front diff but take my word the new Golf R is really good, much better than you might think,
Now it seems u r some one who has real merit, the Megane is a real benchmark car and the STi on that count is a car that should be better than the previous generation STi right, but in my observation its not, the new STi didnt feel as precise or light as previous gen STI and felt 2 slow while taking low speed corners compared to the older STi i have driven the old STI, it had less power but more feel,more eagerness, the new STi wasnt that perfect, felt like it was confused whether to be a hardcore machine or be an all rounder, between I test drove the STi today, and everything is pretty much clear for me
Its a great car,sure the diff works brilliantly much better than the VAG cars and one can feel it if one keeps on mashing throttle at full lock and it drifts beautifully, much much better than VAG cars, as said be4 turbo lag really let it down at times, specially when dealing deep U turns etc
I accept that VAG cars are way behind the feel factor but for my money I would pick the Golf R over STi cuz I felt it suits me better
Still I am waiting for my dream car to be launched here in Europe the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, until then I just keep on test driving cars,

Ya STI feels like a rally car with HVAC and NAV,
The s3 is a real luxury drive, and most surprisingly fun to drive unlike a lot of Audis like rs3,which understeers like shit,
Also the DSG is soo damn fast that I hit 0-100 kmph in 4.9s,I mean think of it under 5s with a 2.0 turbo i4,isnt that crazy fast,also inside the s3 its like comfort and quality and features that pampers with dedication unlike a so called feeling of loaded interior,
Also VW GOLF R has already got to stage 2 and it does 0-100 kmph in 4.2s,I mean thats insane for a 2.0 turbo, and haldex is so damn good nowadays that the new golf or s3 can lap realy fast,
Subaru aint bad but Audi gives a feeling that its more expensive to but it does give the sense of satisfaction, with Subaru I felt like well there were compromises like the huge turbo lag below 2000 rpm,and always stiff ride quality
S3 nearly showed dual nature ,in comfort mode its like a regular Audi with soft compliant quiet ride,put it in sport it gets stiffer though no way near as stiff as sti,yet dosent pitch or roll

S3 is not that great but the Golf R is super cool, and what makes it best is unbelievable interior quality,comfort,features,quietness,adjustable dampers, all this and when one needs to some thrills it can stand and even defeat thorough bread sports cars like STi,M135i,etc one should understand that it is a GOLF a family hatch doing all this, STi, etx are made for sportiness, BMW has 6 cylinders and a turbo, the A45 AMG needs 55 more HP, a super stiff suspension to keep pace with R, sure its not the most cutting edge when it comes to driving, but there s no car on planet earth thats a better all rounder than the VW MK7 GOLF R, hell it even gives 17 kmpl on highway drive with 3 on board and at a speed of 110 kmph cruise, and a city mileage of 9.7 kmpl in hardcore traffic and 10.5-11 kmpl on average,
How many cars that can do 0-100 under 5s can manage that, and sure its not a track killer but its lap time of 1:44.04 in Laguna Seca is faster than WRX STi.

Yeah, but lets b clear here, I meant sports cars becuause they are more hardcore, the Civic SI is hardcore, the WRX STi is hardcore with a full time centre differential unlike Haldex, BMW has 6 cylinders and a turbo, and A45 AMG and CLA 45 AMG are sporty hatchs, they are no regular C, or A Class,
The Golf is theast aggressive of the lot yet its able to be as fast as some entry level M cars with more HP and torque and defeat a Hardcore Subaru WRX STI,
See I am a Ford guy, I am all around for the upcoming Focus RS, but even still after driving the R, the wow factor still remains. Its faster than WRX in striaghts and around most tracks, yet as refined as a Merc C Class, in comfort mode, gives super mileage, it the roomiest hatch,
U really dont get it, If one needs an all around car there is nothing on planet earth that can touch R,

Reinhardt Stroh First of all, dont under estimate Ford, sure the old GT was too twitchy, but one must understand that it too was a mid engine 540 bhp car, how many cars at that time had over 500 bhp, just a few and the GT was on among them
The lack of TCS,ESC,ABS,EBD etc made it likeable only to the most purists of all automobiles
the new Ford GT vs new R8v10+ vs Ferrari 488 GTB vs Mclaren 650s vs Lambo Hurracan will be the most epic battle of this decade after the P1 vs 918 vs LaFerrari battle
I dont care who wins, even if Ford or Audi or McLaren or Lambo fails before the Ferrari its going to b with the slightest of margins and with nit pickings
I give credit to Ford cuz out of all the mainstream mass manufacturers with least income Ford at least made a GT, VAG group has money to buy out nations,Ferrari and McLaren does supercar business but didnt expect a GT from Ford

If GT was not 2 ur taste just leave it but never tell it was a waste of time and money, it was just a spiritual successor to the GT40 that won LeMans with no TCS,ESC,EBD,ABS etc
Thats the sole reason why it was raw to the core of engineering of a car
Ford had to sell Aston Martin and JLR while in 2006 and they are still and were not the best brand when it comes to economy to b know for making supercars, brands like Toyota,Honda,had better economy but no supercars like the GT

The biggest issue with Ford is the fools who manage Ford have no idea which all products should be sold at which all markets

Ford should ve never launched Vignales in Europe, A premium Ford will never ever capture the imagination of buyers in Europe, that always goes to Audi,BMW,MERC
If at all Ford had some interest, they should ve made Lincolns available in Europe with diesel and petrol hybrid power trains, basically just Lincoln Corsair 2.0 TDCi,2.0 Hybrid,Lincoln Aviator with 2.0 biturbo TDCi and petrol Hybrid and Lincoln Navigator with 3.0 v6 TDCi. It wud ve been a niche market but profit cud ve been way better per car than STUPID VIGNALES
Ford should ve never launched Fiesta,Focus ACTIVE models in Europe
Ford should ve never made Puma an SUV, instead a low slung FWD coupe t fight the likes of Alpine 110;Peugeot RCZ
Ford should ve launched Bronco in selected European markets with 2.0 TDCi and 2.3l i4 ecoboost as powertrain options
Ford should have made a very good Mondeo, as of now Mondeo has worst back seats ever in a D segment car, pathetic design
Ford should ve never launched Ford Edge in Europe with that pathetic interior and price tag
