For the price of a restomod Dodge I could get an used Porsche, an X, a Y,a Z, whats the point dude,,, If U want a ,mainstream EV truck,,,as of now Ford has the best shot of delivering it in earliest time, Tesla had a big mouth but where is the CBT?? Dont even start talkin about Dodge and GMs BEvs, too nascent to say the least, So my point is give credit where its due, Ford is doing their best and I appreciate their effort for at least trying to be competitive against China and Telsa

Well you could call this news right and wrong 1. Bolt Pre orders were not delivered by GM owing to chip shortage and GM just shipped bulk loads to dealers and retailers by last 2 months. So its still not sure whether all these Bolts have takers or are they pre orders based on previous enquiries. Even GM has no idea on this as many retailers had taken advance, some retained while some refunded 2. Ford is talking about the classes it created . Its not like its based on cars sold alone. We know Ford s now eliminating dealerships , so the total orders taken from direct customer enquiry to Ford is also counted. U may say Ford is lying but I dont feel so. Its true if we take Bolt into account GM is 2nd largest EV maker in USA for the past 2 years. But GM itself is a confused brand when it comes to Bolt as its 90% Chinese+ Korean in nature with a GM badge and with far less profit made per car than even Mach E

Please expand on this, see 1 has to understand that Ford is a company that was mocked by Elon Musk and so many economic forecasters and even this channel, and guess what happened. Please dont under estimate a corporation thats over 100 years old, sure there has been bureaucracy and policy issues and internal politics but when Ford is determined they can make it work Remember they survived and even harsh recession back in 08. I bet this situation is not that bad this time. U speak like Tesla, Chinese brands had no issues, I am 1 who leased a Model S Gen 1 and frankly it was BULL SHIT, it was full of flaws and finally the owner made me pay for its issues like I created them

In any form Governments should not interfere with private companies, the moment they do, the reliance on public funding overtakes the company private investor funding, collapsing the government reserves So in no way should Governments help Private companies, back in 2008, US Government gave too many graces for GM and Dodge, Ford took the least grant and yet survived recession, thats a good spirit and I hope it still goes that way

@theartificialsociety3373 And let me assure you, a government interfering company will only use public funds for their own benefit Look what GM is now, worlds 3rd largest car maker, and whose money is it?? Its a 3 time bail out money, if GM was government controlled, there is no way stopping GM or Ford, they ll annihilate Tesla or any competition, which is always bad news because in no way is a Government more trust worthy than a private company,both are evil.

@damian99669 Really, like Tesla has had NO recalls, come on, This s Fords 1 BEv and it does far better than Teslas 1st BeV the model 3 by a country mile

I feel as harsh as it sounds this will be good for Ford. Lincoln needs to get a slow and peaceful death. Sure they were not sales block busters but were honest luxury brand. The brand however need to exist but not with dealerships, it could exist like Tesla ie an online sales with just maybe 4 or 5 products. That is enough and pretty sure there will be a certain customer base who would still pick such Lincolns over Caddies and Buicks
