@martinm8861 why? I have been in Michelin star restaurants (maybe they are more common here in Europe) just wearing something that looked a bit like Steve Jobs would wear. Just make sure it fits and is clean, and you are ok. I only wear a tie at weddings and funerals, (not because I feel it's mandatory but because my family has their own tartan colors and a tie is a nice way to communicate that you are a member of that family) edit: my family is not rich, we just are from Scottish descent and have a clan pattern

well actually, I might chose to mug the grandpa if I was a street robber for 2 reasons: A) easier target. B) Probably wealthier because when I see somebody walk dressed as a LV-Gucci billboard my first thought is that it's probably fake knockoffs. While gramps might have a fat wallet. a real rich person would drive his Mercedes , not walk

@martinm8861 those extremely high priced items are not priced because they want to sell them (although of course they won;t say no to anybody stupid enough to buy one), but to advertise the brand to the lower and middle classes, so that those masses want to buy the 1K or 5K items. Or even just the $300 sunglasses . They make way more money selling a lot of 'normal' stuff.
