I agree with everything, except one financial detail, people always take the new car cost in calculation, but most private people don't buy a brand new car, but a car that is a few years old. So I think it would be more fair to take a 4 year old Golf and let somebody use that for 10 years, and then they buy another 4 year old Golf etc... Richer people of course can buy new cars, but I think they are not the majority.

Correction: that is what 3% of the people want. Seems like many more people want: look at me, I have a fruit logo on my laptop, I am sexy!

@chowderwhillis9448 in the netherlands we don't have middle school, we only have primary school (4-12) and high school (12-16 or 12-18) but yeah, I didn't need mine until I was 16

@Widur42 but most new cars are bought by businesses and lease companies , who sell the cars back to dealers after a few years and then they go to private owners.. So yes somebody had to buy them new, but it's really different, because of tax rules etc....

@daarom3472 oh, grow up or sod off to San Francisco or Guangzhou or any other 'real city' Eindhoven is a major city in the Dutch context, it's easily the most important city in the Netherlands after the 'big 4' (who are also still tiny in international standards) And you know that, you just want to troll a bit.. because daarom....
