  11. Why would anybody try to conquer that land? That is the only question that comes up to me. It's a barren, featureless desert. Nothing but dirt and rocks. I am sure they must have more fertile parts, where they grow food, but Kabul and surroundings look horrible.

  22. Wait, at 12:50 I had to stop the video and comment again. WE HAVE ONE of those PLANES on the roof of my apartment building! in the Netherlands! Long story short, it was put there by a group of artists, as an art project. It was an old soviet plane, I think build in 1954, that ended up in one of the Baltic states and then was bought by an collector in the Netherlands. It finally was falling apart and was about to be scrapped around the year 2000, but instead it was given to this artists club, who stripped it and restored the bodywork as well as they could and then mounted it on the roof of the building. The engine was also removed, but some of the interior still exists including old soviet instruments. You can get on the roof and get inside.

  43.  @ljmthecyclist3257  of course they did, that's the way they roll and I don;t blame them . look, don;t be naive. my uncle has been working in Africa for 35 years, always on development projects, schools, hospitals all the goods. Even on the most pristine projects you have to accept that some money disappears otherwise you never get ANYTHING done. In the end it's still a win for the local people when something good happens.

  49.  @arsenygenadev6888  don't worry, I am moderate in everything. I like to try out some things but I don;t make an habit out of it. I haven't bought a bottle of strong alcohol in weeks, just something different. one bottle of limoncello that I mixed with tonic. I drink more tea, water, milk and fruit juice. And I can't gather with friends, we are still in lockdown here. Only 1 friend allowed and with a friend I would probably drink more alcohol than alone.
