  1. They already are, the KYC (Know Your Customer) legislation. This legislation requires exchanges to report wallet id's to the tax offices, otherwise you're very limited in what you can do. They key is to get out of high-tax countries and those that are unfriendly to crypto. Australia and NZ will get you with unrealised gains tax and if you're caught with crypto that isn't declared to Australia or NZ whilst subject to their tax system - thats a world of hurt!
