Its a nice but small place. Don't plan on citizenship as just like Monaco the threshold is huge - you must live there full time, own a property, speak the local language, know the history inside out and even if you can do all that, you must be there for 15-20yrs and renounce all other citizenships as both Andorra and Monaco don't permit dual/multi nationality. Andorra just like Monaco is expensive to live in but most people in the EU go there for VAT-free shopping and skiing holidays.

@My_Old_YT_Account Only if you're a tourist, if you're living there full time as I explained in my comment then its more expensive. Also Spanish people get zero tax breaks if they move there as Spain treats their citizens in Andorra the same as France does its citizens in Monaco - their taxes don't change.

Very simple - any border passport control that can scan modern passports, can search you name, date of birth and biometrics against the entire database. Passports are registered in the database as being valid, but they also need to be activated. If you've ever had one sent to you via a consulate you'll have likely had to "activate" it online before being able to use it. Only registered and activated passports can be used. If you've only ever had the passport from the country you live in, it will be registered and activated before being sent to you as it doesn't need to cross national borders. The reason that when you get a passport through a consulate, you need to activate it is because the passport crosses many borders and should it be stolen from diplomatic pouches as its not activated - the activation details are only paired with the passport when the consulate sends the passport the last bit to you. If you've ever admitted all your nationalities on a govt form or visa waiver, or as a AML/KYC process or as a "due diligence" process, ALL of those nationalities will be listed under your details and the system will prioritize seeing which of those countries passports are held. When passports are scanned the guard / officer see's everything. Most financial institutions & anyone who can perform AML/KYC with passports, can search the same databases (with read only permission) so they'll find everything that's been divulged. There's times where honesty can backfire - sometimes its best to compartmentalize things if you have major threats against you or your freedom. Remember, once you've given out info willingly, its out there and you can't withdraw it.

The only chance of that working would require a new continent to appear, for you to somehow declare it yours and maintain control of it and for a majority of countries to officially recognise you and your country. Yeah, that ain't gonna happen unless you colonise another planet like mars.

@ronc7743 I referenced Monaco as an example to help explain a point. Yes its cheaper than Monaco but its still very expensive if you're there full time then yeah its very expensive.

@jayehum Sorry but that's wrong. Both Canada & Australia have zero issues with dual/multi citizenships. Whilst the process might be long and expensive, you most definitely can have both Australian and Canadian citizenship. I know 10 people that have 3 citizenships each, one of which is Canadian, the other Australian, and they ALL got Canadian by naturalizing.

I would suggest you do remote work and freelance online, and more research into other countries and their laws. The USA isn't all people think it is and the opportunities people think exist, don't exist. Also, if you truly can ONLY work in the USA then you'd have to renounce ALL other citizenships that weren't ITAR Tier 2 Preferred Nations and the ONLY things you can't do except as a citizen within the USA is anything related to ITAR. Ironically EU nationals have more freedom in the EU with their equivalent of ITAR than US citizens do within the USA. There is zero demand for "programmers in the USA" as 99% can be done remotely from abroad. Also, companies that do stuff under ITAR aren't going to "just hire" someone who just became a citizen for obvious reasons - there's zero deep background and history on them and ANY risk assessment says to avoid such people as a result.

No different to getting a visa and then naturalizing - the only difference is the name and the timeline. As long as its a LEGAL program the country has then its genuine citizenship.

Its rarely easy with any government as they don't have to accept/permit it. For now most will permit it subject to proving you have another citizenship so you don't become stateless and providing you have paid any final taxes / exit taxes, etc. Just remember its a one-way process - once you renounce, there's no going back - your a foreigner.

@johnmknox As Australiastan showed during the plandemic - that declaration is utterly worthless. According to the Australian Govt - its a framework and "well-meaning" but not legally binding thing which can be thrown aside when a country wants to; this is also the same Australianstan who threw aside their own constitution that they love to call "the highest law of the land" because throwing it aside suited them. This was the excuse they gave why they could suspend ALL human rights and lock Aussie's out of and inside of Australia - yes, citizens banned from coming home and citizens banned from leaving - even if it was longterm (5+ yrs or permanent) and the other country had said they could enter. My point - the only rights anyone has are the ones they can enforce themselves! Laws mean nothing when the courts side 100% with whatever the govt says, or when the govt just change the laws to suit them using "emergency powers" to avoid the democratic processes.

Damn near everyone I went to primary school with was born with 2+ citizenships - all of EU background and families left Europe as a result of WW2 either fleeing Nazis or Soviets and later many fled communism. Many of us were born with 4 citizenships due to parents / grandparents and where they naturalized (where we were born).

@cathybrowning2310 Utter BS. Some countries expressly forbid dual nationality, many openly permit it, and some have no laws for or against it. I know people who have citizenships of multiple monarchies.

And when following Nomad Capitalist's advice properly why would anyone care about those miniscule amounts - when followed properly, the tax savings by moving abroad and renouncing will more than exceed the "benefits/payments" that you'd get. Most people who'd be using Nomad Capitalist's advice already will NEVER get a pension as in many "name brand" countries, its only for the poor - have too much in the govts eyes and you get zero pension. If you think benefits / payments are "critical income" then you're most definitely not the person this channel is aimed at.

Literally ANY of the EU. Education, healthcare, infrastructure, environment, life, holidays (i.e. time off work), etc. all far better than the USA, not to mention the food is real and good for you unlike most food in the USA. Please put down the "name brand" country kool-aid and look at the reality of how things have changed since the 1970's when the "name brand" country kool-aid was created. Its blindingly obvious that you've never had a passport and never traveled abroad (not counting Canada).

Which is why multiple citizenships is best. That makes govts fight over who you belong to. Countries that are part of CANZUK & CUNA will NEVER fight as hard for you as the rest will.

@Number6_ But he'd still be bound to US taxes due to old British Admiralty Law that applies to sea and air, and space, thanks to the UN getting all countries to agree to it. Basically, any vessel or craft is required under law to be registered to a country. Whichever country a vessel or craft is registered to is the country whose laws apply when in international waters and international airspace, and, in the case of space, when in space. This means that if Elon goes to Mars then he's in a craft registered to a country and ANY base he makes is also legally required to be registered to the same country, thus making Mars part of that country in its entirety. The only way for Mars to be its own country/world would be to get there in an unregistered craft, build and unregistered base and somehow be able to do so and to fend off any military actions from countries claiming it as theirs.
