  1. Its similar to the USA's ESTA except it limits your country on entry and exit to the ones you set when applying. ETIAS is only for those who aren't citizens of EU countries within the Schengen Zone or the European Economic Area (EEA). Also note that ANY border guard can cancel ANY ETIAS just like they can cancel ANY visa if they so choose. ETIAS will automatically reject ANY CBI countries passport as they're required to get a Schengen Visa once ETIAS starts unless they hold a passport from a Tier A country - if so then that other passport must be used as the "primary" on the ETIAS and the others listed as 2nd, 3rd, etc. It is expected that ETIAS will be either converted to a "visa-sticker" that must be fixed to a passport by a govt by 2030 or abolished, and, Schengen Visas required for all non-EU Nationals by 2030 - the EU is still deciding this though and 2030 is still quite a way off.

  2.  @frederikalinden2128  I know, just tried to address the main points about it. As for the countries you just listed, none of them are EU or EEA countries so they're subject to ETIAS or will require visas.
