  1. Good luck - you really need to have other citizenships already and to have already renounced or be starting the process. If they implement this taxation, they likely won't let anyone renounce. Remember, renouncing is ALWAYS at the discretion of the country concerned - i.e. its up to them to let you. More disturbingly countries can declare ANYONE to be a citizen without the consent of the person affected.

  2. You're assuming that France will let them. Renouncing is ALWAYS at the discretion of the country concerned - they don't have to let you. Disturbingly ANY country can declare ANYONE to be a citizen - if they try what's mentioned in the video, I wouldn't be surprised if they refuse to let people renounce and I wouldn't be surprised if they start making people citizens at random just to demand taxes.

  3. Except the problem is renouncing citizenship is ALWAYS solely at the discretion of the country concerned. Its up to them if they let you renounce. Just as disturbingly countries can declare ANYONE to be a citizen without the consent of the individual concerned. When the "west" gets desperate enough, I wouldn't be surprised if they just start declaring people at random to be citizens purely to demand taxes from them.
