@patc1309 My neighbour was considering trying renouncing and leaving. He inquired and was bluntly told that they (the govt) can refuse to let him renounce and that even if they allowed it, he wouldn't be allowed to leave (after renouncing) without an exemption or until restrictions were removed entirely. Australia is beyond gone! Oh and now Australian's who've been allowed to leave for official reasons now require special permits to return unless they work for the govt.
