  1. The only solution as there isn't any way to stop it politically: Use plate blockers to avoid the cameras reading your plates (RC ones are available online). Don't pay their fines. Rip the cameras down every time they get put up.

  2.  @tasrykens  Plate blockers cover the entire number plate or change it to a different one (if you have one that holds two plates). Note that in most countries in the world, plate blockers are illegal to use but not to own, they are however the only solution to stop cameras reading your number plates where this kind of tyranny is concerned.

  4.  @dcgallin  'RC' is short for remote control. RC plate blockers activate via remote control once installed.

  5.  @dcgallin  I'm honestly not sure. Its the kind of thing that is legal to have but not to use. I'd recommend not having one installed when crossing international borders and only using it to defeat the CO2 tracking number plate cameras being used to enforce the 15 minute city stuff.
