This video and your previous one are absolutely wonderful. I love the fact that everything runs locally without an external 'cloud'. Looking forward to the upcoming videos.

Daylight Saving Time (DST) was created during WW2 so that people could have some time to do things before they had to blackout their houses as a defence against bombing raids. The reality is that bureaucracy never abolished it post-war and sadly its stuck. Its stupidly annoying as it causes time issues and forces many in certain industries to use different time systems in order to continue global projects around the clock. Countries keep changing when DST applies. The EU recently told countries to decide it they're doing it or not and if they're joining the one timezone (within Schengen) to simplify business - many countries still haven't responded to the EU. Then there's Australia where some states decided that we need half a year of DST because 1/3 of a year just wasn't enough, so they changed it. Then there's countries that NEVER do DST. Its one giant stupid mess; DST NEEDS to be abolished as it has zero legitimate purpose in the modern era, flexible work hours makes it easy to start an hour early so you can finish an hour early if you want more time with daylight after work. In most IT and engineering time is simply tracked in 'ticks' and then converted by the computers to the correct time based where you are. When projects require global coordination then time systems such as ZULU are used, or if its within one company globally then the time at the global HQ is used as "the time" at all other offices.

Well there's the climate solution - save the world by banning AI and GPU bound workloads. We don't need AI or ML, life can continue just fine without it. Heck people might get their jobs back.

This will likely result in TAFE becoming a thing in the USA and then numerous Certs, Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas for everything. Then those will all be diluted by breaking them into smaller qualifications, lastly they'll introduce annual or every 3yrs mandatory refresher training courses (for continuous revenue for education providers) and voila you have the AU & NZ system. Why do I say this? Because those hiring don't have the time to test everyone and individually assess everyone who applies. The whole point of degrees was to guarantee a base level of knowledge. Now this will happen at a lower qualification level, and no, online certs from non-govt accredited institutions won't count for anything. Without going to such a system like AU & NZ have, then anyone could fabricate any certificate they like and companies would be stuck with employees who don't know anything.
