  1. This will likely result in TAFE becoming a thing in the USA and then numerous Certs, Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas for everything. Then those will all be diluted by breaking them into smaller qualifications, lastly they'll introduce annual or every 3yrs mandatory refresher training courses (for continuous revenue for education providers) and voila you have the AU & NZ system. Why do I say this? Because those hiring don't have the time to test everyone and individually assess everyone who applies. The whole point of degrees was to guarantee a base level of knowledge. Now this will happen at a lower qualification level, and no, online certs from non-govt accredited institutions won't count for anything. Without going to such a system like AU & NZ have, then anyone could fabricate any certificate they like and companies would be stuck with employees who don't know anything.
