@bwarey52 Its like all the "safety" BS that's forced upon you (lane assist, auto braking, auto spacing, reversing camera, etc.) - normal people don't want that crap, they want to drive the car, not have it drive them. The govt forces it by passing laws for "safety" and thus you're forced to either buy the crap or go without. For EV's - companies are ONLY allowed to buy EV's unless they require ute's for construction, tradie jobs or primary production. Companies with ICE fleets are forced to convert them to EV at a rate of 10% each year or face huge tax penalties. Then car dealers are taking away manuals, autos and now pushing EV junk because that's what the govt wants (and the govt gives them tax breaks for doing so) - they're forced by law to sell (of all sales) 30% EV's each year - I know people who've been told to put their name on a list for an ICE vehicle next year due to this law. You NEED to care about how the car your driving is being propelled - if its EV, your range is limited, your time will be lost to charging, when the subsidies go they'll be more expensive to charge due to power shortages and zero competition and you won't be able to drive out bush and go camping for a week as you can't keep an EV charged in the bush; if you use an ICE vehicle you'd simple carry a small boost-pack "jumpstarter" and a jerrycan of fuel. If you don't like having choice and being free to choose, that's fine, the reality is many people are the opposite.

@bwarey52 Sorry but its you who's silly and out of touch. Only fools drive into the bush without fuel - there's no phone reception or roadside assistance in the bush, and no one around for 500km+ - its the bush! As for you stupid BS of taking solar - how big a trailer are you planning on taking to carry the panels and charge controller as the vehicle would be full of camping equipment? Also why would you want to waste such time covering the entire campsite in solar just to try to get a charge? You really don't understand why an EV is useless outside the city. Literally everyone has two spare tyres and two jerrycans on the back of their vehicles when they go out bush.

@deanwalker8404 They had their funding pulled and were forced out of work and their industries. There's heaps of them (hundreds of thousands) but because the sheeple are so brainwashed and hiveminded to blindly believe the govt and the so-called govt approved "experts", no one will listen to them or anyone who talks about them. The BS is always "if they were right, they wouldn't have lost their funding". Sadly the masses don't understand that funding only gets pulled when you don't achieve the target/goal you were given by the source of funding. The days of research being about truth and facts died a very long time ago. Now its all about how the 0.01% can quadruple their wealth every year by destroying our lives and by dictating every little thing we do. Basically the masses are gullible morons who think that people are inherently good, well-meaning and not liars when the reality is that the exact opposite is the truth.
