They most absolutely will. The cameras and the govt don't care. Look at Australia, several cameras always booked everyone doing exactly the same speed (75.6 km/h) in a 60 km/h zone the moment the light went green after a right turn light and a pedestrian crossing green light. When the news got involved, it was revealed that a certain sequence of lights was programmed incorrectly so instead of being a "red light" camera, it was a "green light" camera during certain cycles. Then to top it off, the laser that measures speed was found to be faulty and incorrectly calibrated (hence the identical 75.6 km/h detected speed). You know what happened... Even when all that was found and proven true, the govt passed a law to require everyone fined to pay the fines (and lose points and their licences if they lost enough points) as "its about safety not about fairness", "we can't be weak on safety" and "we need the money". My point is they sure can fine everyone and force them to pay; refuse to pay and they'll take your licence, your passport and get the Sheriff and cops to seize your stuff to "recover" the money. This is the result of the masses letting them pass any laws they like and the result of the masses just "going along to get along" and blindly trusting the govt.

@workman122 That's already the case in Australia. Currently each "Club Permit" historic vehicle gets 45 days of permitted use each year. The govt are expected to change the laws later this year to be "the owner of historic vehicles can only drive a "Club Permit" vehicle 45 days in a year", this change would mean that if you own multiple historic vehicles that you'd only have a total of 45 days to drive any historic vehicles you own unlike the current 45 days per vehicle. As expected various clubs are demanding that only their vehicles / types should be allowed to be driven more and that vehicles that they don't like shouldn't be allowed on "Club Permit". Its so typical, sheep doing the govts tyranny for them.

@rogerblackwood8815 Its already law in most places that should mandatory kill switches be required that all vehicles that are street legal will be required to be fitted with the required kill switches or they'll either be de-registered (can't be used on roads) or crushed if the owner objects to losing the registration. The long term solution will be hidden mods that disable the remote kill switches, GPS tracking (disabled but spoofing the location if a "phone home" type is used), etc.

@rogerblackwood8815 as I said in my comment, it already is law that when kill switches are required, all old cars will be required to be fitted with remote kill switches or be banned from use. They've already banned the sale of ICE vehicles from 2026 (new or old). AU, NZ, EU and CAN have already passed the laws which take effect in 2026. It's only a proposal in the UK at the moment.
