@stevenc5227 That may be the case in tiny old Europe. In Australia delivery is anything from $25 - $75 depending on how much you've bought and how far you are from them. Also, the people who live close to the supermarkets in new developments (read 15-minute cities) were given free delivery for the first 2yrs, then it magically cost $25 per delivery. Lastly, only fools don't go and buy their own food - going yourself is the only way to get what you want and to get the good items, not the crappy ones. When the supermarkets pick your order, they pick whatever and they commonly substitute items because they pick orders before restocking shelves.

Utter rubbish. Its not the young who have all day to waste on public transport - its the elderly because they don't work. The young have SFA time in the day as they have work, bills to pay, errands to run and in many cases, multiple places to be at during the day. Public transport just doesn't cut it as its too slow and doesn't go where needed when needed. The problem is all the loony-left extremists who want cars gone - its just never going to happen as too many people need cars and there is no valid alterntive - most definitely not useless EV's (they don't live up to the hype, they weigh too much (means much less can be moved in them than their ICE equivalents), the range is utter BS and they can't be charged in 2 minutes, plus they lose a heap of charge sitting in the cold).
