The sunglasses thing... guess I'm screwed as my glasses are prescription and have the transitions coating on them as its expensive enough having to get prescription glasses and prescription safety glasses. Transitions are literally cheaper than having to get prescription sunglasses as well (I live in a place where the bulk of the year is extreme UV so its sunglasses or expect cataracts from a very young age). Guess that's a reason to avoid Japan - so as to not offend them. I honestly never knew that protecting ones eyes (and being able to see properly) was considered offensive.
