@paulinelong7205 That's exactly why everything that can make you self sufficient (farming, hunting, fishing, camping, bush walking / orienteering, etc.) is subject to qualifications, licences, permits and annual update/refresher training - to stop the 99% from doing it. That way only 1% can do it, and of those 1% most only do one of the things. This results in a society that is 100% reliant on the state and that if the state locked everyone down the masses would be easy to control by simply controlling the food and shelter. If people were self reliant, they'd be able to 'go bush' and thrive which would make it hard for the state to control them. The 15 minute cities (sorry... camps), the CBDC and the dystopian surveillance and control is all to keep everyone effectively prisoners and under the thumb of the 'elites'. That's Agenda 21 / Agenda 2030 and the UN SDG's which are Agenda 21 broken into 17 goals (Sustainable Development Goals - SDG's).

The worst part is when the inverters with that remote feature are shut off by the grid, even if you had a transfer switch so they're in an 'off-grid' mode, they still won't work so you're still without power because 'regimes gotta make you suffer'.

You actually end up so worse off that you can't buy something else because before you buy something else, you have to pay Capital Gains Tax on the sale, then your taxable income has just gone up as the remaining money is treated as income for tax purposes, then you have to buy a new place which makes you pay GST/VAT & Stamp Duty. Then you (depending on the country) get hit with Unrealized Capital Gains Tax because you now have a new 'asset'. The government loves to take at every possible chance and you lose out every single time, and they wonder why people love tax havens where there's no PIT, no wealth tax, no inheritance tax and no death duty.

You miss the point - every country can cover the pensions and health system for their natural born citizens - its all the illegals that have been let in that are all on welfare that's killing the country financially. If the country rounded up all the illegals, stripped them of Austrian citizenship that they shouldn't have ever been given, and, sent them back to Africa where they came from, the country would suddenly start being affordable and working well again. The same BS is ruining Australia - the govt keep claiming 'there's not enough people to do the work and pay the taxes' but they keep importing 3rd scum who end up on eternal welfare, who then bring their families under 'reunification visas' who also get on welfare. That's 1 million people each year and it never stops. 185,000 homes are all that can be built in a year, the cities are now sprawling over the good farmland so food now has to be imported at a huge rate, and due to the housing shortage, all local kids who grow up and need homes have nothing available, they can't afford the millions to buy a home, and they're taxed to death. Because the govt only looks at migration, it never considers any of the locals, that they might need houses, that they might be trying to start working. They just don't care because migration is a 'get rich quick' ponzi scheme to bleed the public dry through taxation. Why do you think most politicians are involved in 'big business' - so they get rich by ruining countries. They also love the high crime that the illegals cause because it justifies ever more tyrannical laws and powers to the state.

@fredbear2648 How do you propose the average person do that? The harsh reality is that the only way to legally do that is to get a visa and start on the long path of naturalization in a country that will issue a relevant visa. I highly doubt that Survival Lilly has any 'citizenship by descent' pathway outside of the EU so its not like she can get a passport abroad through her family tree. Citizenship By Investment is only for the mega rich as its both expensive and designed to reject those who aren't 7-8 figure high net worth entrepreneurs, so its not an option. Also keep in mind that in the modern era, the whole world is getting much more insular and the pathways to move are vanishing - visas are being ended (i.e. no new ones being issued), pathways to naturalization are being made significantly harder, and even marriage pathways are being closed thanks to too many people doing 'sham marriages'. What exactly do you propose she do, and where do you propose she go? Remember, this isn't the pre-1900 era where you could freely change countries and move abroad.

Assuming the inverter has the remote shut-off feature so the grid can turn it off, how do you propose turning that feature back on? The reality is the inverters with that feature can't be re-enabled except by the grid, so even having a transfer switch won't let you run in 'off-grid' mode. They want you without power so that your food spoils and you go broke trying to resupply, or that you just don't resupply.

But then you'll get charged with illegally living on your land. Just because you own land doesn't mean you can just camp forever on it - there's actual legal limits. This is to force people into building a house and pay more taxes because the property is suddenly worth more.

@annafrolova7891 Be grateful that you can access 'public land'. In the 'west' the governments (sorry... regimes) are closing off as much public land as possible under the excuse of 'protecting it for future generations'. The reality is they're doing it to remove the legal 'excuse' to own the gear and equipment for outdoor activities (its only legal because the activities are), and to make the people easy to control by keeping them stuck in 15 minute cities.
