  1. ​@AngelaMerici12 It's because they are claiming to speak on behalf of the people who answer "Yes" to questions like "Should everybody have healthcare?" or "Should college be free?" They look past the fact those same people say "No" when asked if they want to pay for for these benefits.

  2. Squatter's rights are a mechanism to deal with the abandonment of property that would otherwise remain unused indefinitely. The squatter is taking a risk that the owner will return, and their own investment will be lost. This phenomenon is absolutely a function of capitalism.
