Comments by "tcorourke2007" (@tcorourke2007) on "WOKE School Board Uses "Racist Tacos" To Push CRT" video.
Hopefully this will supplant the Google search results for "The Tijuana Taco Incident", the darkest hour of my college fraternity experience.

@Edaloy27 James Lindsay does a lot of in depth study of the academic history. He is strongly opposed, but presents a detailed and good faith interpretation. Kimberlé Crenshaw's 1996 anthology of essays titled "Critcal Race Theory" seems to be the definitive text on the subject. I believe her resistance to applying the term to what is being taught in elementary schools is disingenuous obfuscation for political purposes. Authors like Ibram X. Kendi and Robyn D'Angelo are the most recent additions to the literature. They might deny the "CRT" label, but their ideology is being taught at the elementary level and is what so many parents are objecting to.

I think you meant "discerning". Oh, wait... nevermind

You don't need to be a defender of CRT to cringe at the idea that one person "legally" selling another to a third is somehow better than kidnapping.

@jwill7998 Cultural appropriation!!

@spencerkindra8822 That would be important, if we were discussing the culpability of whites verses blacks in the institution of slavery. We are not. The OP was implying there exists a moral distinction between kidnapping a person and purchasing one. There is none.

@bobrown582 Well then, I suppose they should be paying us 'Reparations'! Seriously, dude, leave the consequencialism to the leftists.

@CA-zr1kz This is like arguing the chicken you are eating for dinner should be thankful for being a hen, since male chicks are destroyed.

@spencerkindra8822 Firstly, OP said nothing about CRT, he merely asked a question about it. Your inferences are unwarranted. Furthermore, the American plantation owner who 'buys' a slave at auction is ultimately responsible for their kidnapping. I can't deny responsibility for Amazon rainforest destruction by claiming "Hey, I only bought the cheap burgers!"

@spencerkindra8822 Again, you are reading way, way too much into this jackasses comment, while actually ignoring what was said. He literally states that slave were "bought legally" and NOT "hunted and abducted". For someone who agrees this is a distinction without a difference, you seem to making it the crown jewel in your argument against CRT.
1
@spencerkindra8822 For the last fucking time, you are ASSUMING he thinks that CRT teaches that slaves were only acquired by whites hunting them in Africa. He does not explicitly say this, or ANYTHING ELSE about CRT, he only asks questions, from which it is IMPOSSIBLE for you to make such deductions.
1
@dvkaw7780 Not sure which comment you are replying to, but I never claimed otherwise. Or that white people, in particular were the worst offenders.

@Edaloy27 CRT teaches that the relationship between all individuals living under a system is defined by the privileges afforded them by that system, which are measurable by the disparities between said individuals. This is fundamentally different than acknowleging slavery was immoral.

@Biggiiful OP said no such thing, he merely asked questions. You should learn to read before you start slinging insults.
