Where is the responsibility of the uncooperative and those that chose to break the law but don’t want to accept the consequences? You choose the action, you choose the consequences.

It was only a matter of time the way things have been going before the police unions took a stand. Perhaps that stand has begun. That’s a powerful lobby. This prosecutor may not be for long.

Biting, hitting, kicking, spitting, etc. Surely you are not so naive as to think someone can’t resist because they’re handcuffed. They can still wreak havoc. Only that cops responded to social media posts of people playing with GUNS, that’s right, GUNS, and that while cuffing a suspect or detainee, the person said “Ouch” and the claim about the foot. My understanding is the video footage has not been released. Have you seen the video? Or was that unhinged rant coming from somewhere else? Because if you haven’t seen the video, don’t you think your tirade is a bit premature?

As for the idiot who shot himself, it couldn’t have been serious or he would have gone with emts not the cop car. What the hell were these fools playing with guns and posing for pictures on social media with them?? Seriously?

We’ve seen the mess created when a group of people extort municipalities with the threat of violence into prosecuting people for doing their job. The only thing that will accomplish is an exodus of qualified law enforcement officers and make the dwindling pool of applicants that replace them. The videos will be released when the investigation is concluded.

  31.  @ygrittesnow1701  And what if the suspect continues to resist and carry on once in handcuffs. If you think that doesn’t happen, think again as we have seen so many times lately. Why is qualified immunity necessary? Because cops can’t arrest suspects without touching them, which if done by a civilian would be assault. People get arrested because it is believed they have broken the law, i.e. they have disrespected and violated the rules of the society they now seek protection from. Does that sound right to you?

  33.  @shaneo5436  Seriously? The prosecutor said she charged the officers because while they were cuffing him, they pulled his arm up and he said “Owe!” You don’t pull out cuffs unless to arrest (or detain in some cases).
