@ArcturusAlpha I never understand why people back entitled, disrespectful fools with egos the size of Nebraska.
4
@adaliaalvarez7269 YES! YES! YES!
3
@UnreasonableOpinions Excet the cops did nothing wrong here.
2
@dirg3music Suit yourself. Be t don’t test or you’ll see I’m right.
2
@LineOfThy Anyone who drives a $250k car recklessly through game day traffic is looking for attention. Well, he got it.
2
@LineOfThy Well he wasn’t arrested, was he? So…..
2
Why can’t the SEC stop this? It’s a scam, pure and simple.
2
@Lactosecow No no. He rolled the window down, talked to the cop, gave him his license and then rolled the window all the way back up. The cop told him to roll it down and he just cracked it!
2
@mosisusasu9205 No cop wants to get into a pissing contest was the an entitled, disrespectful, who thinks they get to dictate how things are going to go during the stop. The cop said the guy had been speeding and engaging in reckless driving.
1
@revlarmilion9574 Lied abut what exactly?
1
@winterthemuteson He did not. The officer tells him to roll down the window and he cracks it. THAT’S complying???!!!
1
@TheFrozenMoogle ”Roll down your window” and “Get out of the car” are “ambiguous orders”? I don’t think so.
1
@hyzmarca2737 It wasn’t to pass the license through. It was for the officer’s safety.
1
@Daniel-ch1dz Obtuse??? How so? I thought I was quite clear.
1
@hyzmarca2737 You’re joking, right? You think a car window is going to stop a bullet??
1
@hyzmarca2737 He drove recklessly at 20 miles a ver the speed limit in it IN traffic!
1
@hyzmarca2737 You really don’t care about officer safety, but you think they should care about yours? That’s some good thinking there. DUH!
1
@Daniel-ch1dz Sorry dear. The fact is he rolled his window up after going his license to the cop. He was told to put it down and he gave the officer flack. Stupid is as stupid does. Them’s the facts and they ain’t going to change.
1
@hyzmarca2737 He was.
1
@solarcentipede1749 You don’t get it? Do you know how many cops have approached a car for a traffic stop and gotten their heads blown off?? Why should cops have to risk their lives to cater to this idiot’s ego? They HAVE TO be wary at all times. Otherwise, there’s a decent chance it could come at them their lives!
1
@leofhr2966 Sorry. The officer didn’t escalate that situation, the fool driver did by thinking he was going to dictate the show when he got pulled over. When are you going to realize you have to follow the directions of the cops. Period. If you don’t, it will end badly for you every time. “Reek” doesn’t have a leg to stand on.
1
@Willow_Sky What 4 people? The one officer was standing at the car window alone for the longest time ordering him to roll down the window. And when all 4 people are yelling “Stop resisting” how confusing could it be?
1
@ Don’t be daft. The dude was uncooperative from the start, trying to dictate how the stop was going to go. The bottom line is, when a cop tells you to do something after you’ve just done something wrong, DO IT!
1
@SniperRL7 Who cares?
1
@kil0_387 Who cares whether they knew who he was or not. HE BROKE THE LAW!
1
@lockdown550 Nope. They didn’t.
1
@LineOfThy Looking for attention WHILE BREAKING THE LAW is just STUPID. Period.
1
@LineOfThy So? Watch the video.
1
@LineOfThy Well he wasn’t. Those things happened because the fool thought he was going to run the show.
1
@fadeawayinwestla Then HE WASN’T ARRESTED. They let him go.
1
@LineOfThy Afraid not.
1
@LineOfThy He was not arrested.
1
@Redactedlllllllllllll WRONG! They are allowed to detain you and put yu in cuffs for their safety while they d their jobs. That was driven by Tyreek’s behavior. Cops are allowed to protect themselves. Do you have any idea how many sociopaths are out there? Do you know how many cops have died walking up to the window of a stopped car only to have the driver blow them away?? If you were the cop, would you take unnecessary risk to your own life??
1
@bluester7177 I’m afraid not. The ego was all the guy driving the quarter of a million dollar car recklessly, in game day traffic, who thought he was going to dictate how things went. THAT is ego!
1
@KonoGufo What are you, 12?
1
@geraltrivia6148 WRONG. The cop said they picked him up reckless driving a ways back. The entire interaction would have only been the speeding ticket if he hadn’t pulled the window crap. That was all HIS doing, NOT the cops’. You have no idea how he was driving. He wasn’t charged with reckless driving per se (although going 20 miles over the speed limit could easily be seen as reckless driving) because he got the speeding ticket.
1
@geraltrivia6148 No matter how many times you claim his behavior was ok, it still won’t be! You’re delusional if you think a lawsuit won’t be dismissed soon after it’s filed, if it ever gets filed. Those cops did nothing wrong and all the film will back that up. No one is going to pay anyone except for the speeding ticket.
1
@jonathanbuzzard1376 That is nothing but that lawyers opinion, nothing more. I’ve discussed this earlier with someone else, but that lawyer cannot speak definitively about the matter. That’s not how the law works. Be VERY CAREFUL listening to legal analysis on YouTube. Take everything with a degree of salt.
1
@KonoGufo You know right from wrong, right? Is driving 20 miles per hour over the speed limit in traffic wrong?
1
@chrisdt2297 Im afraid the police officer simply did his job. What’s the football player’s excuse? Because he didn’t have to have contact with cops at all. Then to be an idiot with them……not very bright.
1
@kiddchris9579 Then you need to point out which of my statements “lacked evidence” or you need to read more carefully. There was little emotion in anything I said. Don’t blame me because it’s not what you want to believe.
1
@hadronoftheseus8829 I’ll bet you wish they had, huh?
1
@adeancousland2404 No. I believe if you act like an ass, you get treated like an ass. Why did people think they can act like disrespectful idiots to cops and expect the best of treatment back? It doesn’t work with other people, why would it work with cops?
1
@hadronoftheseus8829 They didn’t want the other kids to feel bad about themselves. lol
1
@adeancousland2404 I think if you play silly games, you win silly prizes!
1
@ Why do you ask? It won’t change anything.
1
@hadronoftheseus8829 Always with the ad hominem when you can’t refute the argument. Care to point to something I said you disagree with, like an adult?
1
@hadronoftheseus8829 Did I say something I said would “change anything”? I did not. I was merely pointing out what IS.
1
@ “Propositional content”? What does that mean?
1
@ You’re a logician?? I’ll buy that for a dollar!
1
@hadronoftheseus8829 Here’s a better idea. Why don’t you point out ANY of my “explicit factual errors” that you say have been pointed out numerous times.”. Because I’ve asked before, but got back nothing but personal attacks.
1
@hadronoftheseus8829 I think you need to re-read the thread.
1
@ I think you’ll see I made no factual errors at all. Which renders your point moot.
1
Surely counselor, you’re not suggesting that people with $350k cars should be treated differently or not be held as accountable as someone who drives a $35k car??
1
@coreyrobinson8209 We don’t. We live in a state with a lot of entitled, disrespectful idiots.
1
@sonattyp6171 The cops’ fragile egos?? What about the idiot driving a $250k car recklessly in game day traffic? Talk about a fragile, insecure ego!!
1
@madman4043 But how do you know they are false statements? I’ve seen reports that say the suspect became uncooperative and combative and the defendant says they are lying. That would be a matter of opinion, wouldn’t it be?
1
@rodanone4895 Nobody is or will sign up for the job now!
1
@Furavara Qualified Immunity has to exist to do their jobs. Doesn’t make much of a difference.
1
@Grizabeebles Departments are on skeleton crews as it is. Nobody is signing up so they have LOWERED the education requirement in many jurisdictions. Now yu just need a GED and still few sign up. I think you are miscalculating the situation. Policing is a necessary component of society. There will come a backlash from this crap and I guarantee you’re not going to like it.
1
@Mialamorena1 Because the idiot in the McClaren wasnt complying. DUH! You would NOT like it if they lose “discretion”. That’s what allows them to tolerate people’s ignorant, entitled arguments, excuses, and bad behavior.
1
@Mialamorena1 Well, no actually. If you remove discretion, it would all be by the book; no human factor. There would be no discussions, only orders, and if yu don’t comply right away, you will be forced. That’s what lack of discretion is.
1
@rodanone4895 And your point is??? No other country’s law enforcement has to put up with such an ignorant, entitled, narcissistic, disrespectful public. You ought to watch some body cam footage if you don’t believe me. People turn into wild animals or 6 year olds, yelling and screaming and saying the same thing over and over and over. It’s really pathetic. What’s made it much worse is the influence of social media on the public. In the last few years, more and more yahoos watch some bad lawyer’s youtube channel once and think they know the law better than anyone. They start spewing Amendment numbers they’ve never even read and don’t begin to understand and telling cops what they will and will not do. I can’t even begin to tell you how stupid that is.
1
@Mialamorena1 And it never will. The onus is on the arrestee/detainee to de-escalate simply by complying. De-Escalation the way you mean it would get police officers KILLED. They cannot and should not lower their guard or give blanket benefit of the doubt to suspects. There are A LOT of sociopaths out there.
1
@ColdNorth0628 Not going to happen. In fact, you all keep this anti-cop crap up and you will see quite the opposite.
1
@geoff1025 So?
1
@joiea1928 Except nothing was illegal here.
1
@kieranelliott5607 They do.
1
@stephbenson7340 They do work for the people who need to be protected from idiots driving $250k cars recklessly in traffic!! DUH!!
1
What are you talking about? Those cops can’t see through those tinted windows. The driver could have had an arsenal in there and he rolls up the window on the cop?? How stupid can you be!!
1
@gonzalezvalencialeonel9563 Excuse me???
1
@StormsandSaugeye Really? I’d like to see you walk up to a McLaren yu didn’t see into.
1
@StormsandSaugeye It is not “by law and Supreme court rulings. That’s ridiculous. He handed the cop his license and put his heavily tinted window up on the cop. STUPID thing to do. Period.
1
@StormsandSaugeye I see. And this is in your legal expertise? Because you realize law is abut interpretation, right?
1
@StormsandSaugeye You are delusional. He could have had an AK in that car and opened fire. You leave your window rolled down. DUH!!!!
1
@StormsandSaugeye Which is nothing more than that actual lawyer’s opinion.
1
@StormsandSaugeye WRONG! Stop listening to these people like they’re speaking gospel. They’re not. There’s no way they could say things definitively. Lawyers argue. They don’t conclude.
1
@StormsandSaugeye You are wrong on almost every point in that post. It would take to long to go through it, but I think what’s missing is that you need to put yourself in the cops shoes.
1
@StormsandSaugeye Of course I haven’t tried to legally refute his argument, have I? That would take too much time and would be of no consequence. Just realize that every circumstance has its own set of facts and no two situations are exactly the same. Thus a case holding that says one thing may or may not apply in the same way to different sets of facts. A judge or a jury will decide whether in this particular case any laws have been broken.
1
@StormsandSaugeye Wrong. I said I haven’t tried to LEGALLY refute his argument. That would involve citing cases that refute his interpretation and authorities. I think the law is more complicated than you think it is.
1
@StormsandSaugeye Wrong. My argument has not changed. The cops did nothing wrong here. The fool did this to himself.
1
@StormsandSaugeye YOUR argument was that I was wrong because this lawyer cited case law. That is a silly argument.
1
@Lactosecow Wrong. A civilian is supposed to follow the cop’s instructions.
1
@Lactosecow Seriously, with those degree rod tinted windows that prevent swing into the car?? Don’t be daft!
