@Anxiathy Most of the world de-colonized at that time already. It was high time for USA to admit that colonization (like slavery) is absolutely immoral and give up it's colonies (except Puerto Rico... and Hawaii, and American Samoa, and Guam, and... you get the point).

I agree with everything you said, but one small detail. I don't want the whole world to trade in EUR (and I am from the EU and pay in EUR). I think no country should have that much power. It should be something universal, decentralized, controlled by no one. Like the Internet.

@cyan_oxy6734 240 countries in the world can make the same claim to anything else. Exactly as you imply. "I want something" is not a moral justification. I don't understand how this still works on people in 2025.

@KonradTheWizzard You can cut the Internet in half and if you replace the main DNS servers (easy), both parts would work. And you can divide it like this many times and it would still work. Decentralized (I know you know this, I am just demonstrating my point). And also ICANN does not control content on the Internet on the other side of the globe in any way. It is decentralized and no one has it under control as a whole (local providers can controll their very small part, but that applies everywhere in the world equally).
