Literally pulling a child around 24/7 is the opposite of love. It's selfish attachment. A child needs to be able to not be touched, yanked around or observed constantly.

If someone jumps out of the first window they find, it's hard to keep them alive. I don't know what goes through toddler's minds. Maybe she wanted to climb down the side of the building or sth.
