@HyperMario64 The USA is barely less tyrannical than the EU. And it's incredibly pathetic that you think you need the EU to force you to buy a specific kind of phone.

Or we could just let people themselves decide what they want... There have always been phones on which you could exchange all kind of parts. But not everyone bought those.

@realsong-fake Absolute bullshit. The consumers themselves don't want to use the phones forever. There are plenty of modular phones. Phones where you can't just exchange the battery but all kinds of parts. People know for how long they will use a phone and that they'll get a new one anyways.

@__KursK__ During "medieval ages" it wasn't "laisse fair" at all. Not in the least. Craft and trade guilds controlled what people could do to an extreme degree and there were fewer constitutions limiting what the rulers could do.

@cancelled_user 1) USB-C connectors absolutely suck. I don't know anyone, who doesn't have problems with them. 2) I can buy exclusively USB-C devices without being FORCED to do so.
