You're glad that people don't clearly address issues. You can certainly talk about cancer without mentioning how horrible it is, but not so much in a world in which many people are pro-cancer.

@icxcnika555 Nowhere in the bible is it implied that being dead or being killed or killing someone are not bad things to happen. If God can't "murder" why does he kill people as a punishment? Clearly he intends to murder, whether he can do so or not.

Palestinians have complained about genocide ever since they first failed to destroy Israel.

That has always bothered me. Men don't have less ribs, so that's a stupid metamorphosis. Nor should the rib be necessary. Nor does the sequence make any sense apart from the writers being patriarchal. Would have been better if Adam had boobs and God made Eve out of his boobs. Then it'd be a halfway passable metamorphosis.

@jewreadingquran I wouldn't say that they are like a pantheon either, but since according to those later traditions the one god is all-powerful, there isn't really a difference. He controls all beings (and all non-living things) equally.

@Dharma Defender The translators should stick to the words the Buddha and other teachers actually used instead of what you think they should have used.

@tomrhodes1629 "you are a thought given the ability to think" Lol.

How do you experience "infinite potential"? The interesting and profound part of sunyata is the experiential part. When you tell people that their momentary experience has the character of "infinite potential", you get those galaxy brain memes. You get people thinking very grandiose thoughts. That may be why the teachers used the word sunyatta.

It's not just Moses, there is no evidence for a huge Jewish diaspora in Egypt either.
