Comments by "Taxtro" (@MrCmon113) on "Mom Who Impersonated 13-Year-Old Daughter at School Arrested" video.
That you think you could tell shows that you're less able to tell than average. Plenty of women look very much like their daughters. She isn't even particularly young looking. So yeah, plenty of women could pass as teenagers way into their 30ies and YOU wouldn't notice that and they'd even more easily pass wearing makup, glasses and facemask. The fact that you think that's so easy to tell shows that you'd literally never detect it, because you're not even aware of what to look out for.

@lathafalls7675 Lots of mothers and daughters look pretty much identical, especially with makeup.

What does a mother impersonating her daughter have to do with security? That's about academic integrity and nothing else.
4
Schools don't need any "security". People aren't attacked by non-students in schools. They're attacked by other students. And a school is not a bunker, it's a place to learn. And you're still getting to school. Where tf is your "security" in the world at large? Do you drive an armed transporter with escorts to school?

@briana2104 My teachers frech-kiss all of us at the start of a lesson to make sure it's really us.

@zazajf People have no understanding of scale or context.

@Driftenstem21 Because "adults" don't look different from students necessarily. Especially if they're female, closely related, wearing tons of make up, glasses and a mask. And I don't see how that's a "problem". Do you want students to be stripped at the entrance and their DNA tested or sth?
2
What point? What keeps you from walking into the building if you're not disguised as your daughter?
2
@madmaniac6778 You've clearly never taught anyone. If a student is replaced by a student that looks the same, how tf would you notice?
2
Of course you wouldn't notice. "Murderers" don't look different from any other people. >The fact that they couldn’t realize a 30 year old was impersonating her own daughter... Neither could you. There's people looking much younger than that woman looks and much more similar to your daughters. The fact that you think it's so obvious only shows that you'd be even easier to trick.

Why should there be a "school security system" that prevents parents from attending classes? What kind of circus is that?
1
@chrisbingham2335 No, I'm assuming that you want to sneak in good grades for your child/friend.
1
@louish2037 Now I know that you 100% wouldn't notice. You're completely unaware of your hindsight bias.

It's crazy that you expect schools to be a maximum security facility with controlled access when in reality they just pull in children from the entire surroundings. It's kind of like scanning people's irises to get into a public toilet. >anyone can come to school dressed like a child and nobody will notice Yeah so what?
1
@alainasmithyb > So it’s not your fault if a killer dresses up like a school kid and comes in your class and you don’t notice? Wtf is a killer? Maybe you should watch less horror movies and return to reality. The threats of violence in school come from students and teachers, not outside people. And the real threat is someone sitting in class and not understanding anything. THAT is what I'm worried about when I teach a room of people. Not to bore the strong ones and not to loose the weak ones. And most importantly saying correct things and not saying incorrect things.

The reason a student might not be "safe" at a school is their teachers and classmates. Not mothers dressed at their daughters. In fact I would venture that no one was ever hurt by the latter.
1
@BallerBryantHateHelicopters Yeah this idea of schools as maximum security facilities is really odd to me.
1
@notactuallyvenom3932 So? A pedophile terrorist can just as easily do their pedophilic terrorism without being disguised as a school girl.
1
How is it a security issue when a mother comes disguised as her daughter? That's academic misconduct if she gets good grades.
