I don't understand how anyone, who has ever talked to a human in person, can upvote this retarded comment. 99,9% of people are perfectly contempt with being a follower and having power of no one but themselves. The causes of wars are manifold and complex and to declare something "human nature" is not only a non-explanation (literally doesn't explain anything), but also actively keeps you from learning.

  6. Too much belonging is bad. You need to be able to do your own thing even if it hurts to be separate from others. The individual mind is too valuable to give up to a comfortable collective.

  8. Can't you help much more people as an engineer than as a soldier? I mean the only difference is that in the latter scenario you are apparently supporting a state, whose policies you agree with, while in the former you would work for a private company. But you could just as well be an engineer working for the same state.

  10. Well you don't know precisely how everyone else in the military is feeling either. Or anyone for that matter. But you can get a clear enough picture from what you say. I don't find anything of what you express surprising or hard to imagine. When you say that others cannot possibly comprehend how you are feeling, you are really telling them to stop listening to you. Because if I actually could not comprehend what you are feeling, I might as well treat you like a rock and disregard your feelings altogether.

  13. You are making no sense whatsoever. If you are not suffering you are not suffering from your lack of obstacles either. You seem to be currently suffering from a lack of imagination. Just because the people of the past needed cow dung to build houses doesn't mean that cow dung is magically tethered to the concept of houses. What makes you a human is your ancestry. Nothing that happens in the future will ever make you more or less human. It is purely a statement about the past and every other usage of the word is to be treated with the uttermost contempt. To read anything more into the word human is the road down to Nazism and all of the worst ideologies.
