  10. Extremely few people die in crashes. To the degree that we can't automate driving, because people are so incredibly safe. Even if a machine only makes an error in object detection 1/10000 times, it's still less safe than a human driver, in spite of having perfect reaction speed and never being distracted. You're not just wrong, you're maximally wrong.

  20. How about designing for efficiency? Everything is already designed for pedestrian and bike safety. Huge parts of cities are used just for bicycles while they can perfectly well use normal roads.
